I have had the pleasure of bringing a few pets into this animal hospital for checkups, immunizations and unfortunately, more recently, more serious care for one of my pets. I was lucky enough to have had Dr Carmen originally a few years ago when I first switched to this vet- and she kept me coming back hands down! I got to know and appreciate the care and attention from Dr Kansal, as well as the help of Gabby and Henna- the office staff/vet assistants. I can’t say enough about the patience, care and concern I received from this vet, as well as the compassion. Dr Carmen truly is such a wonderful, kind vet- and it shows when you are in the room with her. Dr kansal is knowledgeable and patient and they both explain results or treatment so you really feel like you understand what is going on. Gabby and Henna try to make you feel at comfortable and appreciated at Maillardville Animal Hospital. They understand when you need more time, have more questions and very much can sympathize with you and your pets needs. There are more staff that I came across in person or on the phone as well and they too were a pleasure to deal with. This is the vet I would choose again and again, and although it took me a long time to find the right one- I’m glad I finally ended up here. Thank you for everything.

Very positive environment, they got us in the same day for our dog who was having trouble walking. We were greeted by the veterinarians assistant, so friendly and helpful. The vet was gentle and friendly as well. After having uncomfortable experiences before at other places, this was great to see.

Our dog had an ear infection, so we visited this clinic without an appointment. (We had to come back a few days later after he was given a mild sedative since she wouldn’t let anyone touch her ear!) The service was excellent, and most importantly, our dog recovered the very next day. I’m so relieved to have such a great veterinary clinic nearby. Thank you so much!

We’re so grateful to live just a short walk away from this hospital. We recently had an emergency with our cat, and they took us in right away. Our kitty is very anxious, and we were worried about how she’d handle being in an unfamiliar place, but the staff treated her with such care and patience. Over the course of four days, we went back and forth as we worked toward finding the best solution for her. Even though they were clearly busy, they always made time for us because they genuinely cared about her wellbeing. Every staff member we encountered was kind, polite, and understanding — they even checked in on us to see how she was doing, and when she wasn’t improving, they showed real concern and encouraged us to bring her back in to ensure she was fine. We truly appreciate their compassion, dedication, and the way they went above and beyond for our girl.

I'm so grateful to have found this vet clinic. Their hours are wonderful, they have affordable (half price) vaccines on Wednesday, their appointment availability is convenient. What really shines though, is their customer service. Every time I've had an interaction with the amazing staff, I'm reassured that my boys are in great hands. Thank you for easing my stress as a pet owner, for treating my family with care and respect and for providing the best experience for my cats (and for me)!
