I had a cut and and colour with Fabiano at the end of October. I thought at first he was a great stylist but to be honest not so much. He’s terrible at giving haircuts. He literally told me he’s scared to cut hair, I should’ve known then he’s not great. He messed up the colour of my hair the first time even though I showed him multiple inspiration pictures. I had to come in and redo the colour and cut my hair again. My hair cut was so uneven. The left side layers were higher than the right side. He didn’t even cut my bangs how I requested, he left them longer than I requested. Probably a good thing because he could’ve messed up my bangs like he botched my haircut. I’m definitely not returning. I thought I would but there’s plenty of better hair stylists out there. I don’t recommend this salon as the owners are never there, so you’re stuck with speaking with the stylist rather than speaking to the owners. M prive needs to do better at hiring better stylists, they make clients suffer and hire low grade hair stylists. Keep in mind I also tipped Fabiano a good tip and he still messed up my hair twice lol.

I recently visited m prive salon for a blowout with Valeria, at first walk in impression the salon has a great aura, the layout is beautiful and everyone there was so welcoming. As for my experience on my hair stylist Valeria, I could not be happier. She is such a sweet and kind woman who is amazing at what she does! She always delivers perfect results and continues to blow my expectations every time. I’ll be booking with her for my next style and definitely recommend this salon as well as Valeria for all services as she’s also wonderful with blonding techniques💛

The hair washing was incredible. Double shampoo and a very relaxing head massage with the conditioner. Then, I showed my concept / reference photos to my stylist, Ferit, so he knew exactly what I wanted. The attention to detail during my haircut was superb. I got long layers and face framing, and every step of the way, he compared both sides to make sure symmetry was achieved. Further, after my blow dry, Ferit went back to triple check everything and he made small adjustments to make sure the cut was perfect. He even styled with a curler before I left. I am so happy with my style and this whole experience. A true 5 star experience!!!!

Fabiano is an artist with his colouring and I am so happy with how my balayage turned out! He listened, got the vibe I was going for and shared his thoughts for what would suit my features. He also didn’t try to upsell at all. My previously bleached hair was not super damaged, which happened to me at a different salon. I’ll be a happily returning customer!

I’ve gone back and forth about whether I should share this, because no review can undo the damage this salon has done to my hair or the distress it’s caused me. But I’m writing this in hopes that it reaches someone who’s considering going to M Prive Salon. Earlier this week, I trimmed my own bangs at home because they were poking my eyes. They weren’t terrible, just a bit uneven. I thought I’d have them professionally fixed and shaped. So on Thursday, May 15, I booked a simple Bang Cut service through Fresha. I arrived at the salon at 5:30 PM and was greeted by the owner and their stylist, Fabiano. I explained that I had trimmed my bangs and just needed them cleaned up a bit, nothing major. At first, it seemed like he understood. But when he started sectioning off more hair from the top of my head, I assumed it was to help blend the bangs with the rest of my hair. I trusted his judgment. As the cut progressed, I noticed my bangs getting thicker and shorter, and the final result felt really heavy and blunt, almost like a bowl cut. I asked if they could be thinned out a bit, and Fabiano brought out thinning shears, but went at it pretty aggressively. What I was left with looked even more uneven and choppy than when I first walked in. Fabiano could tell I wasn’t happy and kindly asked what I was thinking. At that point, I started to feel anxious because I didn’t know how to fix what had already been done. I explained that it wasn’t what I had in mind, and although Fabiano was very kind and polite, and used Google Translate to communicate, the situation became more stressful when the salon owner got involved. I was clearly upset, and instead of diffusing the situation, the owner questioned me in an impatient tone, asking if I wanted my bangs cut even or uneven. But that wasn’t the point anymore. My bangs were already ruined. What I needed was professional guidance, empathy, and a solution. Instead, I was told, “We don’t have all night,” since they were closing. I felt rushed, unheard, and disrespected. At one point, the owner even implied that I was trying to get a free haircut. I couldn’t believe it. Eventually, the owner stepped back and Fabiano and I tried to fix it again. I asked him to avoid adding more hair or cutting too much, but he panicked and started cutting the sides of my hair. By then, I had uneven bangs, thinner sections on the sides, and a cut that felt beyond repair. I asked if someone else could help, but the owner returned, told me I wouldn’t be charged, and asked me to leave. It was just me and the staff at that point, and I left feeling dismissed and frustrated. I couldn't believe what was happening. My confidence took a hit after my experience at M Prive Salon. I take pride in my hair and always try to take care of it, so leaving the salon feeling worse than when I came in was really disheartening. I’ve since gone to another stylist to see if it could be fixed, but I was told the best thing to do is wait for it to grow out. Fabiano was kind and I do believe he tried, but the experience as a whole— from miscommunication to how the situation was handled —left me incredibly disappointed. I don’t enjoy writing negative reviews, but I hope this helps others make an informed decision. I walked in looking for a small fix. I walked out feeling humiliated, helpless, and heartbroken.
