I am new to Abbotsford and had called around to various vet clinics in the surrounding area before choosing Lougheed for my geriatric cat. Although the Veterinarians themselves may not display as soft of a bedside manner as I would prefer to see, this clinic is truly fabulous. This clinic/hospital is very accomodating with booking appointments and if you feel an urgency to be seen they will go out of their way to get you in, with no added high priority fees. They explain things thoroughly and there is never any hidden costs when leaving (common with vets). The techs are all approachable, humorous, extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. I appreciate how everything is transparently discussed with you BEFORE it is being done and you are given the choice of what treatment/diagnostic options may suit you best before committing. The employees here truly care about animals. I have heard behind closed door conversations of staff helping injured and neglected animals on their own time and days off and coming in to get advice and feedback from eachother on ways they can all pitch in to help. To me, active willing participants helping animals in our community without being asked or making it a social media go fund me post is very admirable. Thank you Lougheed Animal Hospital for your expertise, customer service, and the dedication you show to all the critters you care for!

Leo, my big panda cat, was not doing well. I made an appointment at another clinic but Leo couldn't wait till then. It became an emergency. I called these wonderful people, and they got us in to see Doctor right away. Treatment and a course of action was give immediately. Leo was renting a suite there for a full work week, while they treated and cared for him. I was treated as part of their family instead of a customer. Doctor allowed me in the back, and explained everything in a simplistic way so I could understand. It's an emotional time but I felt like Leo was in safe hands. We missed him at home, but they did a great job of taking great care of him while he was there. Thank you so much to the team and Doctor!! Our boy is home safely and healthy again. They fixed him!!

It is an absolutely wonderful clinic. My cat was very sick last week. DR Dhaliwal was very kind & gentle with my fur baby. Loki is good as new this week.❤️

Came in with a big dog a little dog an old dog and a new dog and a cat and they saw us all, some for past due shots and and extra allergy issue to boot we were in, reorganized, seen, prescribed and fulfilled, paid and out again in an hour.

I know 5 star reviews often get over looked but please read: Lougheed Animal Hospital saved my cats life. The staff stayed late, always answered my calls, were incredibly kind and respectful. They always took a moment to touch base with me and did whatever they could to make an incredibly stressful time in our lives as easy to deal with as possible. My cat swallowed thread and needed an invasive surgery, that had it not been done would have ended my cats’ life. The Doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and would give us options of what they could do to/what was the best plan of action. Every choice given was ours to make with no guilt trips. I have found at other offices you are shamed if you don’t give the most expensive items to your animal. I grew up on a farm and know that sometimes saving the animal is not the right choice, for you or for them. I would HIGHLY recommend this office, this staff, these Doctors. They are truly here for the right reasons and I will forever be grateful for their compassion and knowledge.
