I would not recommend Lifeways Wellness in North Battleford. I went in for pico laser removal of microblading and had a very poor experience with the provider, Melissa. The consultation was brief and did not adequately explain potential post-treatment outcomes. She also noted she would “crank up” the laser settings in hopes of completing treatment in a single session, which other reputable clinics later advised they would never recommend. After the treatment, my eyebrows were severely frosted and burned. When I asked how long this would last, Melissa stated it would remain until the hair grew out, laughed, and commented that I could shave my eyebrows if I was unhappy, which I found unprofessional and inappropriate. I experienced extreme pain, required pain medication and continuous icing, and woke the next morning with both eyes swollen shut. Due to the severity of the reaction, I was unable to leave my house or attend work. I was told this was normal; however, other reputable clinics later advised that this reaction was not normal. These clinics also reviewed the condition of my eyebrows following the treatment with Melissa and advised that the laser settings used were inappropriate, that the provider did not appear properly trained, and that I was fortunate not to have sustained permanent damage. I was also informed—and have since personally experienced—that frosting from pico laser treatment typically lasts only 1–3 minutes. Although the owner refunded the session, this experience left me with serious concerns about the clinic’s training, laser settings, and communication. Based on my experience and subsequent treatments elsewhere, I would not recommend this clinic or this provider.
