Dr. Brar is an incredibly empathetic, wonderful vet who is very experienced at what he does. We have regularly brought our numerous cats and chickens to him over the years, and he has always helped them and patiently explained to us everything that is going on within our critters. I could not recommend another vet in Victoria more highly. His team of staff are also very kind, helpful, and really take care of your pets.

I am so happy to see so all these 5-star reviews for Dr Brar and the amazing team at Lifeline! This clinic could not have a better name to reflect how they approach their care. After calling multiple clinics at 4pm before a long weekend, I reached out to Lifeline. My own vet was closed and I thought my cat might be in trouble. They recognised that he was indeed at risk and made time for us right away (thank you Nigel!). Over the next 6 days (and counting) Dr. Brar moved heaven and earth to try to figure out what was happening and bring comfort to my cat. He spent hours on the phone, connecting with specialists, seeing if other resources could be found, checking if any pharmacies had the meds we needed in stock and helping me assess my pet's daily status from home. At every visit, he explained his findings and what our next steps could be, and what outcome that might cause or what information we might gather from it. His reasoning was always sound and he worked from a perspective of not doing anything that would cause unnecessary trauma to my cat that outweighed any potential the benefits of the treatment. As things came up, he always found time to see us and try something else. He has a calm, caring and gentle nature. Even though my cat was in a great deal of discomfort, he started to purr at our visits because he knew Dr. Brar was trying to help and could bring him some relief. When surgery quickly became the only option left to us, Dr. Brar and his team immediately switched gears, cancelling his clinic visits and moving quickly to do everything they could to give my cat the best chance at survival. He survived the surgery and has a good prognosis, but even if he hadn't, I would be forever grateful to everyone at Lifeline, for recognising that my cat was in trouble and doing everything they could to help him. I was never dismissed or told there wasn't time for us, and everyone there created a calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We will be indebted to Dr. Brar and everyone at Lifeline forever. If you are lucky enough to have them care for your pet, know that your companion is in the kind, loving hands of people who will treat them like their own, and work with you to keep them healthy and safe. Thank you Dr. Brar and the Lifeline Team! You were a true lifeline for us and we are very, very grateful. Caelen & Helo

Lifeline Animal Clinic and Dr Brar have my recommendation after I’ve seen and experienced the wonderful care delivered. My pet's symptoms were quickly diagnosed and treated. We left with treatment that was explained and with advice on how to treat the issue on our own. It has to be mentioned that the costs incurred were fair and recommended treatment products were priced very reasonably. Also of note, Elli who handled our intake was someone who is professional and was sincerely interested in our concerns and an asset to the clinic! Thanks from Gus!

Dr. Brar and his team are the most exceptional group of pet professionals I've ever come across. I have a very senior cat, Daisy, who started constantly squatting on the floor; it looked like she was trying to pee. She also started hiding under the bed and would rarely eat. When I brought her in, the first question Dr. Bar asked was if there was a younger cat in the home, and yes, in fact, there was. My mom’s cat had been passed to us. This younger cat, Dewy, was 3 times Daisy's size and he would try to play rough with her. Daisy was stressed and this caused inflammation in her stomach. Dr Brar explained that the squatting motion Daisy made was just like the stomach-holding gesture humans make when they have a stomachache - she wasn't trying to pee, she was trying to ease her pain and let us know something wasn’t right. Dr. Brar suggested we try Daisy on a supplement shot called Pentosen Phosphate - which would be weekly for 4 weeks, then go to once monthly. The supplement helps to strengthen the lining of the stomach and intestines. By the second week shot, Daisy had stopped squatting, no longer hid under the bed, and was back to her old self, sunning in the living room. I am so grateful to Dr.Brar for helping Daisy return to her old self. Side note: I worried that bringing Daisy to the vet every week would add more stress but she loves the attention the staff, especially vet assistant, Nigel, give her. It really feels like a family there, and we’re lucky to be part of it.

We are so grateful for Dr. Brar's excellent care for our pets! We lost our beautiful Sheltie, Lola, recently and Dr. Brar couldn't have been more compassionate and caring. He went above and beyond in helping us. Now we have our new wee 'Coco', a Shih Tzu puppy, so we'll look forward to having him as our Vet for her, as well as for our Himalayan cat, Chantilly. The staff are very friendly and caring as well.
