Hi Laurie, I don’t know if you remember me, but I’m sure you remember Michelle. I’m not sure if you heard, but Michelle went home to Jesus on March 9th, 2025, after her long and courageous fight with cancer. Writing this is one of the most emotional things I’ve done in months. I was going through some of her old emails and came across this one. When I followed the link and saw that the gallery was still active, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you — truly — for keeping it there. I wanted you to know that you fulfilled a beautiful dream and vision of hers. In the midst of her battle, you made her feel like a movie star, like the most important person on the planet, even if just for a day. If there were a Make-A-Wish Foundation for adults walking through a journey like hers, you would be it. You gave her that experience. We have the photos displayed throughout our home, and we would often sat together, looked through them, laughing and crying and remembering with so much love and joy. Those moments, especially during the hardest parts of her journey, mean more to me than I can ever express. I hope this doesn’t come across as strange — I just needed you to know how deeply you impacted our lives, and how special your gift was to us.

I recently had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with Laurie, where she captured both my personal portrait and some great family shots. As someone who’s not naturally comfortable in front of the camera, I truly appreciated her warm, professional and reassuring approach. She made the entire process feel relaxing and enjoyable. Her attention to detail and ability to bring out genuine moments made the entire experience truly memorable.
