Thank you Kitsilano Animal Clinic! I’m so grateful to this clinic for the kindness they showed during such a difficult time. Saying goodbye to my cat, Makhmal, was heartbreaking, but they made her final moments peaceful and full of dignity. The staff were incredibly gentle, patient, and compassionate. They gave me the time and space to say goodbye without feeling rushed, and treated Makhmal with so much care and respect. Knowing she was calm and not in pain means everything to me. Thank you for helping her pass so peacefully—I’ll always be grateful.

I can’t say enough good things about this vet office. They take such incredible care of both my dog and my cat, and I truly feel so lucky to have found them. The staff are not only knowledgeable and professional, but also unbelievably kind, patient, and compassionate. Every visit, I feel heard, supported, and confident that my pets are in the best hands. They genuinely care — not just about the animals, but about the people who love them too. Vet visits can be stressful, but this team always makes the experience as calm and positive as possible. I also really appreciate how fair and transparent their pricing is. Their services are more affordable than many other vet offices in the city, without ever compromising on quality of care, which makes such a difference as a pet owner. Thank you to the entire staff for everything you do. I’m so grateful for the care, empathy, and love you show my pets every single time. Highly, highly recommend.

We are from Ontario and drove across Canada with our sweet desert dog, Maggie, to spend 3.5 months in Kitsilano to be with family. Maggie’s annual shots were due so we booked here as it was close. From on-boarding to her physical examination and administering vaccinations, it was all so pleasant and professional. We were also appreciative of the affordability of our first visit with Kitsilano Animal Clinic! We highly recommend them!

Kitsilano Animal Clinic is the best. We switched to them last January after our previous vet consistently pushed unnecessary tests and costs. Our beagle, Dallas, was approaching 14 and had lived with ongoing medical issues since puppyhood, including epilepsy and a thyroid condition. From the start, the team at Kits treated him like the senior dog he was, focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life rather than aggressive interventions. That approach was exactly what we wanted, and it was such a relief to feel aligned with our vet. Our regular veterinarian, Dr. Danielle Herbert, was exceptional throughout our time there. In Dallas’s final week, we also worked closely with Dr. Meghan Cavanaugh, who was equally kind, patient, and compassionate. During an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our family, both doctors took the time to answer our many calls and questions as Dallas’s condition suddenly declined. We never once felt rushed, dismissed, or pressured. They simply supported us. What stands out most is that they never billed us for those repeated conversations or check-ins during that final week. Their care felt genuinely human, not transactional. When the time came to say goodbye, we felt guided, supported, and respected every step of the way. We will always be grateful to Kitsilano Animal Clinic, and especially to Dr. Herbert and Dr. Cavanaugh, for the kindness they showed Dallas and our family. I can’t recommend them highly enough

Kitsilano Animal Clinic is truly beyond amazing. I have had pets for over 20 years, and this is by far the best and most compassionate care I have ever received. We started coming here just under a year ago after a recommendation from a friend, when my boy Ludo developed his second mast cell tumor. We had previously been going to another clinic that referred us to Canada West, which was an awful experience - three months of waiting for treatment, only to be given an $8-10k estimate to remove the tumor. I did my own research, asked around, and found this incredible clinic, and I couldn’t be happier that we did. From the start, the team was compassionate, knowledgeable, and efficient, getting Ludo in for surgery right away. He recovered so quickly from that first surgery and was back to hiking and enjoying life all summer long. Sadly, another mast cell tumor appeared recently, and once again Dr. Cavanaugh and the entire team were absolutely incredible. They got us in quickly, explained everything thoroughly, and provided such calm, supportive care. This time, I was barely stressed at all because I knew Ludo was in the best possible hands. There truly aren’t enough words to express my gratitude to everyone at this clinic for helping save my baby once again. He’s only on day two of recovery and is already almost completely back to himself, as if nothing even happened. You are absolute miracle workers. Thank you for restoring my faith after a very stressful experience with other vets, for always putting Ludo’s best interests first, and for providing compassionate, high-quality, and affordable veterinary care. My only regret is not finding you sooner.
