Amazing staff!
The receptionist was very interactive with our 3 month old anxious puppy Kaedo coming in for his second vaccinations, kind to us and was very lenient with me being almost 15 minutes late due to traffic.
The veterinarian was extremely calming, brought out a lick pad and kept the little guy so nice and distracted-he didn't even notice the shot! Easy 12/10 for my first experience in a veterinary clinic. Highly recommend 👌

Love love love Kensington and everyone there.
We have a special dog Windy and she requires monthly sometimes weekly vet visits and EVERYTIME we are in we are met with smiles, warmth and compassion from everyone. Every single person we have dealt with there, which I think is everyone by now we have raved about to friends and family.
When it’s time for Windy to go in we say “are you ready to go see your friend friends” she’s stoked…. Until she walks in the door.
The staff care so much there (and being in animal care is hard) we appreciate all of you.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience.
My cat has a documented history of diabetes in remission. I brought her to Kensington Animal Hospital because she had sores that became severe and she stopped drinking water. During the appointment, Dr. Ubi prescribed a steroid. I specifically asked about potential side effects given her diabetic history and was told that the only side effects were increased thirst and appetite, and that steroids are commonly used in "all dogs and cats of all ages".
I had also mentioned that I gave my cat a carefully researched bath using natural ingredients. I spent hours ensuring everything was safe and appropriate. The comment about “home concoctions” felt dismissive and made me feel like my efforts to care for my cat were being minimized.
Within 24 hours of starting the steroid, my cat’s condition worsened significantly. She stopped eating and drinking and began vomiting. I rushed her to emergency care, where she was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis. It was an incredibly distressing experience and resulted in thousands of dollars in emergency treatment.
I learned that this steroid carries a known risk of elevating glucose and potentially triggering diabetic ketoacidosis. Why wasn't I informed about this??
We returned to the clinic several times that week to discuss next steps. After receiving an initial estimate and taking the night to consider it - as we had been up for over 24 hours monitoring her. We came back the next day and saw Dr. Balios. The new estimate was nearly double the original, and I did not feel there was clear communication explaining the difference. During this visit, my cat was repeatedly referred to as male, even after being corrected.
Because of this experience, I will NOT be returning to this clinic. Trust is everything in veterinary clinics and unfortunately this has completely broken my trust. I encourage other pet owners to carefully consider whether this clinic provides the level of communication, transparency, and attention their pets deserve.

My daughter and son in law took their beloved Penny, a boxer, who was nearing the end of her life to this vet. The vet ran the tests they asked for and unfortunately there was nothing to be done. The vet was so compassionate and honest. The receptionist was skilled and kind. And the cost for what they had done was surprisingly affordable. The kids took her home for a week and fed her baked chucked with treats. The whole process which was emotionally charged went smoothly. Thank you guys, I appreciate your kindness.
