Used to be such a wonderful place to go but has majorly gone downhill since being bought out. The old staff left, including the rabbit savvy vets and I wouldn’t blame them. ~$35 for a nail trim now and ~$136 for not even the proper physical exam (didn’t need one either, just a quick peak at the hocks which I have NEVER been charged for). Over an hour wait for foot wrappings which they couldn’t even manage that, asked three times for tape around the hocks socks to keep them on (mentioned my rabbit takes them off himself) and saw when we were home that there was in fact none and was charged $136 for a physical exam (which I know by now how to identify when they’re doing the physical and the according pricing) which was NOT as extensive or anywhere near the kind of quality I had in the past. I couldn’t believe just take a quick peak was worth $136 when I could have done that myself (no teeth check, no temperature check etc). Each time, I feel like I’m not receiving the proper or quality of care and end up paying for it, feels like I’m constantly just giving them donations rather than receiving a service. If you have a small pet, don’t bring them here even if you have to drive somewhere further, find a proper rabbit savvy vet who will give you what you paid for. Shame how much of a money grab this place has become. Staff are nice and I definitely understand that their hands are tied, but just not knowledgeable enough. Been coming here for six years, and had a great experience with the previous staff- it was wonderful. Likely won’t be coming back anymore unless I absolutely have to. Shame on the new owners. I’m sure it’s still okay here for cats and dogs, although probably still expensive as hell for what you get, but I know that’s the fault of whoever sets the prices and not the staff. Just wouldn’t bring a small animal here who might need a little more handling. I thank the staff for trying with my boy, but they are definitely in need of proper experienced vets with rabbits and probably other small animals. Prices and standards are a huge factor, but that, I know the staff cannot change and it’s the greedy new owners who ruined the relationships they had with their long term clients.

They let me come immediately for my bunny who had early signs of GI stasis (a potentially fatal condition within 24 hrs). They were wonderful, all very caring. I saw Dr. Gill and tech Natalie, but interacted with other wonderful staff as well. Highly recommend!

I take my 3 cats and dog to Kennedy Heights, very friendly staff and has always been very helpful. My dog loves going there to see Lisa!

Kennedy was, for many years, a wonderful place to take "exotics" such as rabbits. In recent months, all of the qualified vets have left. It seems obvious that they were driven out by the new ownership; the clinic - once privately owned - has been swallowed up by some large corporation. This is happening in many industries, and the result is always bad. As soon as the place was sold out, the price of an exam increased significantly and operations started falling apart. I feel sorry for any of the good staff who may still remain despite the place going badly downhill.

I would like to express my gratitude to this animal hospital and all the staff that work there. I have seen them for only a short while however the care and compassion they have shown me over the couple years has been breath taking. Dr Tailor and Kate have been amazing when it came to taking care of my little bird Sean. They made sure I understood everything they recommended for her treatments and gave her the best chance she had in life. Unfortunately little Sean was put to sleep a few weeks ago but I know that she is in a better place. The compassion everyone showed me when I was faced with a decision made it easier on me to make the tough choice I had to make. I still have my other little bird Lily and I know where I will be bringing her moving forward. Thank you to everyone at Kennedy Heights Animal and Bird Hospital for the love and care you have shown me and my little birdies. Rest in peace Sean ❤
