This is the only gym I’ve had success keeping consistent with and I always look forward to attending class. For many years I’ve tried different gyms in Vancouver and when I moved to North Van I found KB One through a Google search. I reached out for a trial and they responded in a timely manner (unlike the other gym I reached out to which never responded) and I was able to set up a time with Mehdi/ Frankie within that week. I’ve been coming now for close to 2 years and my only regret is that I didn’t join sooner! Working with Frankie has been life changing; she is not only very knowledgeable in martial arts but also amazing in working with your mobility and flexibility. I work a desk job and I use to have back and neck problems but after working with Frankie, I don’t suffer from those problems anymore. Another thing I love about this gym is the people- I think it really stems from the owners and it passes down to the instructors and then the members; everyone here is soooo nice and absolutely ego free. Ever since joining KB, my physical ability, my mental health and my self-confidence (solo travelling and roaming the city) has improved tremendously – it truly is life changing.

KB One is an excellent martial arts school with skilled instructors. I have been interested in martial arts but felt intimidated at first until I walked in and was immediately welcomed and shown the basics of authentic Muay Thai kickboxing. Kru Mehdi, Frankie, and the instructors are phenomenal, respectful, and very supportive. They work with you at your level and make sure you’re learning proper techniques and always encouraging. I’ve been training here for a few years now and working on my Adv Green and feels great!! Highly recommend.

Fantastic facility and team. My son absolutely loves the training, coaches, and overall atmosphere. The instructors do a great job of keeping the classes fun while still teaching real Muay Thai skills, discipline, and confidence. The gym is clean, well‑run, and very welcoming for kids and parents alike. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for a high‑quality Muay Thai program for their child.

I’ve had a really great experience at KB-ONE Martial Arts Academy in North Vancouver. The team is super friendly and welcoming. I’m in my 50s and after having been there for about nine months, I feel that I have progressed much more and way faster than I was hoping for, and this thanks to the quality of the training provided. In this period, I’ve built a lot of strength and learned more technique than I thought I would have. What I really appreciate is that the coaches are more than just coaches, they’re teachers. They’re present for the whole class, paying attention, correcting things, and helping everyone improve. It makes training easy to follow, motivating, and personal. There’s a real sense of community there. If you’re thinking about starting martial arts or kickboxing at any age, this is a great place to do it. Highly recommended Keyvan

I’ve been going to KB One for a couple months, and it’s a really nice spot to train. The environment feels welcoming and chill—easy to just show up and feel at home. The instructors are super knowledgeable yet laid-back, always ready with tips to keep things fun and supportive. Classes are engaging and beginner-friendly, mixing solid technique work with core exercises that build you up without overwhelming. Even if sparring isn’t your thing, it’s great for picking up useful skills, staying dedicated, and keeping fit. I recommend. Thanks, KB One! 🥋
