Japan Shiatsu Clinic offers traditional Japanese shiatsu massage with a focus on neck relief, providing personalized treatment to help clients relax and reduce tension. Founded in 1998 by practitioner Takumi from Japan, the clinic combines three years of acupuncture and shiatsu training with an emphasis on gentle, targeted massage for neck discomfort. The clinic is located in Coquitlam, BC and also operates a location on Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver, serving clients who prefer a calm environment for therapeutic massage.

UPDATE #2: After speaking with the someone who claims to manage 7 of their clinics, I will not be receiving a refund. They instead offered me a free 15 minutes. As if I would ever let anyone there touch me. UPDATE: I have a sprained C7 as a direct result from their poor care. I am now on the line for what will be thousands of dollars of physical therapy. I'm apauled by their handling of this situation. ORIGINAL POST: Pretty disappointed. I was having some pain from an old shoulder injury so decided to give them a try for the first time based on the glowing reviews. The staff are super lovely and the massage was fine. But I woke up this morning (the next day) in excruciating pain and unable to move my neck side to side or lift my left arm. I went in and to tell them and politely explain that I felt I should be refunded for the service. They said they would discuss it with the manager, who was there, and call me back. I have received no such call. I’m not expecting a refund which I feel I am fully entitled to.

I booked an appointment one day when I couldn't move my neck. I was in so much pain but Kasia/Shizuka worked on it and I felt so much better after. By next day my pain was down from 10/10 to 6/10. 2 days later down to 4/10. I'm going back to get other areas worked on tomorrow

Excellent massage! Wow! I was in so much pain from fighting and jiu jitsu and this place helped me so much. I’m so thankful and I think there’s a ton of value here. Great service and execution. The techniques were fabulous. I highly recommend this place. They have memberships too which I will be getting. Wow, life saver!
