After several reviews, I can still attest that I really enjoy my visits. Every member of the staff are superb. I really enjoy Dr. Alex's clinic.

I tried In Harmony because of their high rating on Google. The welcome was warm. The first hygienist (Rezha)'s work & manner were great. I was given an estimate while treatment was already underway. It wasn't mentioned there was a 47$ cosmetic polishing charge I didn't ask for. I find this upsell unethical on many levels: lack of consent, conflict of interest (profit motive being given more weight than patient's body autonomy & finances). In looking at my imperfect bite, Dr. Darrach-Cottick jumped to speaking of surgery. I'd never experienced a dentist so quick to go to that profitable and so far unnecessary extreme. Patients must be asked "do you want to hear about the options as I see them?" and, if they consent, told about the worst case result alongside the best case. Professionals have to constantly question and upgrade their worldview and relationship with power. When I brought this to the admin's attention, they downplayed and stood by the upsells. In Harmony's Google review suggested they were better than most. My limited experience is the company, although good in some respects, is prone to the same lack of empathy & ethics that are common in this & other businesses. It doesn't feel a safe or productive place to get treatment for my well-being.

I am the person, even at 80, who is terrified of going to the dentist.This was my first visit to In Harmony Dental as we recently moved to Victoria. After getting the dental work done I left feeling totally satisfied that everyone was so professional and Dr Alex made we feel relaxed. To top it off my wife who pays the bills said wow after the Canadian Dental discount for seniors it was the most reasonable one we have seen ever. I plan on telling all my golf buddies.

In Harmony Dental has caring staff who are very helpful and considerate. In particular they have been wonderful about helping with dental anxiety. I have been a client for about ten years and have been very satisfied with their service and would recommend it.

I've been seeing Dr. Alex and his staff for over 12 years and am always happy with their work. The staff works hard to put me at ease and talk me through the process. This is the only dentist I have never dreaded going to in my life. Thanks all.
