One thing I looked for when I chose someone to look after my hair six years ago was hair expertise and knowledge. I have difficult hair and have had less than great experiences in the past. More than once, I went home with an afro. A great afro is amazing but not for this fine-haired and blonde Swede! Both Michael and Ida-Marie of Huska Hair have training in the Vidal Sassoon method. More than that, Ida-Marie knows my hair, my lack of talent at styling it, and what suits my face shape. I rely on her expertise and she never disappoints. Why? She listens. A bonus is their modern, intimate salon and products that make my hair feel luxurious. Going to Huska Hair is a pleasure!

I recently had a perm by Ida-Marie. I haven’t had a perm in about 30years. I’ve been wanting one for quite some time. During a haircut I asked her about it because I read on their site that they offer perms using a newer gentler approach. The newer perm solutions are gentler, odourless, and produce a more natural softer curl. I didn’t realize that technology had changed with perms because the traditional solutions were so harsh. I’m so happy with the results. It didn’t burn my scalp or make my eyes burn and water. There was no redness after. I’m over the moon with the result. So much easier because my natural hair has a slight wave but was never consistent and drove me nuts at times. The perm just took it to the next level. She did a great job. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Huska Hair.

Mike has been styling and colouring my hair for several years. I change my style often, and he is always enthusiastic and has great ideas for hairstyles that work for me. He listens to what I want and is very professional, and also fun to spend time with. Ida Marie does fantastic work as well. I love Huska Hair! I always go to get my hair cut and coloured and it’s always a fabulous experience. Recently, I did a big cut (like 6 inches of hair, I know, scary) and I love how Micheal did it! It looks great! If you’re looking for a wonderful cut for a great price I truly recommend Huska Hair!
