Gigi’s service is a solid 5 out of 5! I’ve finally found my stylist after trying so many over the past five years.
What I appreciate most is that she doesn’t oversell—she gives honest, thoughtful advice instead. She’s very attentive and patient, and she even provides after-service care, which really shows her professionalism.
She communicated clearly before the appointment, including the time required and the procedures involved. I had read a review mentioning a poor experience related to timing and results, but I’m really glad I decided to give her a try anyway.

It was a horrible experience and I have pictures and screenshots to support my following claims. I booked an appointment with Gigi through the app Fresha. The appointment was 3:00 for a simple hair dye and small trim (as in cut the ends of my hair, around 1.5 inches max), with not much cut around the bangs. After cutting my dry hair, she went ahead and slathered my hair with dye; I have been dyeing my hair for 20 years and never had I seen so much slathered on my head. She is VERY slow and it took over an hour for her to finish this slathering process. By the time she was done, it was close to 5:10. Then she said wait for 20 minutes. As my hair was completely slathered, my neck grew tired from the sheer weight of it and I grew increasingly uncomfortable and cold. Note that I am a healthy individual that exercises regularly and has no neck or upper back injuries. At 5:35, I was told we can wash my hair. At 6:05, she wanted to suggest ways to dry my hair and I asked if we could speed things up a bit because I have a commitment. She said sure, yes. By the time it was 6:23, I just couldn’t continue with this because my hair was not styled and dried, so I said I really do have to leave and I will pay before going. My hair was still 40% wet.
Fresha indicated this appointment was supposed to be 2 hours 35 minutes (see picture), and it ended up being close to 3 hours and 30 minutes and nowhere close to being done. If I had bleached my hair, I would understand why it would take more than 3 hours, but I was colouring it darker. My hair looked better before it was cut than after. The way she tried my bangs look like I am from the 80s, mid 90s. See before and after picture. “Before” with a heart over my face from just last night and after with a “wow” on my face.
It was the most painful, gruelling $350 I spent. Never returning.
If you have 4 hours for a simple dye and haircut, go.

I’m happy to say that I’ve been a loyal client of Valeriia for more than three years now, and I couldn’t be more satisfied 😊 Every visit I leave with the most beautiful airtouch, a perfectly tailored haircut, and a look that truly highlights my features. Her incredible skill and professionalism always give me confidence, because I know I’m in the hands of someone who truly knows her craft, loves what she does, and genuinely enjoys making people look and feel beautiful.

Background: I’ve been getting my hair cut and styled for over 20 years, and my hair has consistently been between the hip and bra-strap length. A standard wash, cut, dry, and style has never taken more than 1.5 hours—unless colour was involved. This appointment did not include colour.
If you have textured/frizzy hair, I would strongly advise against visiting this salon—particularly with Kenny (unless of course the stylist can show you visual examples of the work that they have done with clients with similar hair to you).
I booked with Kenny based on Google reviews. When I arrived, he mentioned he’d had a gym injury but assured me he was fine. I showed him a reference photo (see first image), noting that my hair was about a quarter of the way down my back and I had a blunt cut—essentially a blank canvas.
Two hours in, I noticed he was cutting randomly across different sections of my head. I showed him the photo again, hoping to redirect, but he continued cutting without structure or alignment to the image (Having had my hair cut many times, I could tell he wasn’t doing the style I normally do). When I asked if he was familiar with my hair type, he insisted it needed thinning. I asked him to style it so I could better see the shape, but things only got more chaotic.
At that point, Steffen stepped in. I showed him the same photo multiple times, but he kept referencing a haircut he’d done previously that didn’t resemble my request.
After another hour this time with Steffen, I was left with Vwwwwsquare??-cut reminiscent of the early 2000s—uneven layers and a mullet-like shape that was not even styled
Three hours later, I was charged for a senior stylist and left with a haircut that looked nothing like what I asked for (see second image).
I came home to my family with what can only be described as a 2001 Britney Spears cut. If I hadn’t stopped them, I fear they were heading toward her 2007 look.
To Kenny: If you’re injured or unfamiliar with hair types outside a straight texture, please don’t experiment on clients for financial gain.
To Steffen: With your 25 years of experience and a self professed teacher who has cult "multicultural hair" in "major cities", not seeing the difference between what was shown to you by your client and a picture of 2001 hair cut is not a mark of expertise. It’s a missed opportunity for humility—and charging senior rates under those circumstances is unacceptable.
I waited sometime before writing this review to give the experience some time to settle. Unfortunately, it’s clear: my hair was a mess. Thank goodness hair can grow back.
