I recently hired Shane for some electrical work, and I couldn't be happier with the results. He was punctual, professional, and demonstrated a high level of expertise. Shane took the time to explain the work he was doing and made sure everything was done safely and to code. He also kept the workspace clean, which I really appreciated. On December 5th, Andrew Newby solved a big problem for us. His actions saved us from a rather expensive alternative. Some background: Our Amantii electric fireplace stopped working last week after seven years of reliable performance. We contacted the store that sold that appliance to us to be informed that repair service is not available, only sales and parts! We were advised to obtain the services of an electrician and subsequently called Holmes Electric. Within minutes of arriving, Andrew was able to restart our fireplace and it has worked perfectly since then. He informed us that the most likely cause of the problem was another space heater which had kicked in at the time we turned on the fireplace heater. That other baseboard heater, located in our garage, was never utilized but we didn’t realize the thermostat activating it was not turned off. Andrew inspected the other circuits, made a few adjustments and found the overall system to be acceptable. He also advised us on certain features of the remote control of the fireplace as he was familiar with electric fireplaces. That information will help us to get continued good performance and prevent possible future interruptions. We would also like to commend Diane, your friendly, knowledgeable and reliable dispatcher who kept us informed of the time of the visit and also provided valuable information on services provided by your company. All this to say how pleased we are to have obtained the services of Diane and Andrew. They are clearly dedicated people who love their work.
