I love climbing On a real note everyone from the staff to the climbers are all always nice - I suppose that climbing generally puts you into a good mood. They change the climbs often. You'll find new climbs in certain sections less than weekly whilst still having enough time to project one for up to maybe 4 weeks? I dunno I don't keep track of the days very often bleh blebleh Also here's a photo of my shoe that I took in the bus

I've been climbing here on and off for years but I've finally decided to review this place. I came here today (02.15.2026) with my Japanese friend who was climbing for the first time. Layla helped us out and helped my friend with her orientation. She was very nice and took her time explaining things to her. Layla was overall very pleasant and lovely that I had to leave a review for this place. I've been to 20+ climbing gyms over the span of 10+ years but she was easily one of the best staff I've encountered. Aside from that, I love the sets and the feet washing station they offer. Overall a great place for all levels!

My first time indoor climbing at The Hive Climbing and Fitness – Surrey, and it honestly couldn’t have been better. The gym has an awesome setup — clean, well organized, and with routes that feel welcoming for beginners but still exciting to try. What really made the experience stand out, though, was Polina at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful, super knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made my first visit feel easy and stress-free. If you’re thinking about trying indoor climbing for the first time in Surrey, I highly recommend this place — and a big thank-you to Polina for making it such a great experience!

Great bouldering gym, good selection of pre-post workout equipment as well. Everything is kept tidy despite there being a lot of people during rush hour, that being said it can get quite loud when there's large groups of teenagers. Usually fine but be warned if you like working out in a more gym like environment. I can't tell you about the cadence that problems are changed at as ive only been here twice in two years. I really like the good selection of overhangs and general accommodation for less... technique driven individuals such as myself. I do wish feet would be marked on climbs, ive over/under complicated the start a few times when its not clear. Im also not a huge fan of the ambiguity of the grading system, but i appreciate that the vast majority of folks aren't there to meticulously track progress. That being said, i DO really like that grades aren't posted for fresh climbs. Its a fun little trick to sucker me into thinking i can do something i absolutely cannot. Final note is the price. Thirty bucks is steep for straight up bouldering, and has definitely been a de-motivator for me to switch up on my regular gym more often. That being said, this half price Wednesday thing before the end of the year has un-demotivated me to come back. If there are more sales, like a discounted couples evening or something I'd absolutely be around more often.

The staff here are really great—they explain everything in thorough detail. The environment is nice, and there are routes for all skill levels. The only downside is that it’s a biiiiiit pricey, but otherwise, no complaints at all. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into bouldring!
