I would like to share my feedback regarding a recent visit where I availed a hair wash and blow-dry service. I specifically instructed my hairdresser that I wanted a wavy look created using tongs. She agreed to this request and informed me that it would be an add-on service, quoting an additional charge. I was comfortable with the extra cost and agreed to proceed. However, the final result was disappointing. The waves did not last, and the overall blowout did not meet my expectations or align with what was discussed prior to the service. I kindly request that you consider providing additional training to your staff to ensure requested styling looks are executed properly and meet customer expectations, especially when an extra charge is involved.

Great experience. Coffee, pocky sticks and massage were offered. Agu is a very experienced hair stylist. Cut was fast and looks great.

Very disappointing experience for my child’s haircut. The stylist only spent about 10 minutes total and showed little care or attention. I had to re-trim the bangs myself after noticing lots of uneven strands left behind. The stylist seemed grumpy and rushed, and the appointment ended much earlier than the estimated time. On top of that, the usual little touches (like Pocky for kids) weren’t offered this time. Overall, not worth the time or money, we will not be returning.

I went to the Hive for Japanese hair straightening. My natural hair is not too curly; it is voluminous and coarse. I spent 3 hours in the salon, and the straightening went well. However, after my first hair wash 2 days after, my hair was no longer straight. I didn't go back to the salon right away because I thought my hair was just dry and needed some TLC. I used lots of hair masks and repair oil, but my hair still has a lot of flyaways and voluminous. One month later, my hair returned to its original state. Just look at the photos below. Did my hair look recently straightened ?! I am giving the salon 3 stars as of now because the place was clean, the people were friendly, and they have scheduled me to see my stylist again when she returns from vacation. I'll update you on how that goes... ------- As promised, here is the update of my 2nd appointment. LET'S GO STRAIGHT TO THE RESULT: THE HAIR STRAIGHTENING DID NOT WORK! The hair straightening done at the Hive is on 100% virgin hair. I did not wash my hair for the next 48 hours as instructed as my stylist. In fact, I waited 72 hours before my first hair wash. I have done hair straightening many times in the past at other hair salons and always ended up with straight, flat, and smooth hair which lasts for months until I cut the hair off. MAJOR WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
