Our beautiful little dog Augie was a patient at Hillside Veterinary Hospital from the time he was 10 weeks old until he passed away more than 15 years later at the end of 2025. During all those years, we received consistently wonderful care from Hillside Vet. The front desk staff were always friendly and helpful; the techs were kind and professional; and the veterinarians were skilled and compassionate. We never felt pushed into any procedures or unfairly charged for anything. Instead, we felt we had a place we could rely on to help care for our beloved pup. We feel especially thankful to Augie's primary vet, Dr. Sylvie Abrioux, who was a calm, kind and expert presence throughout Augie's life, and to Dr. Abigail Smith, who also cared for Augie over the years and was so compassionate during his final few days, when his health took a sudden sharp downturn. We are so grateful to the whole team.

I’ve been taking my cats to hillside veterinary clinic since my partner and I moved to Victoria, coming up on 2+ years. And hands down, the most compassionate and respectful team we’ve had the pleasure of receiving the care from! The staff and vets have been nothing but kind, accommodating and thorough! My pets are happy and thriving and stress free for appointments. We even get ‘happy birthday’ emails celebrating our pets 😭❤️. Thank you hillside veterinary hospital. I have been taking my dog here for 9+ years and have always received the best care! The vets are all so caring and friendly. They go over everything in detail, you never feel rushed, they answer all questions thoroughly and give great advice and follow up. Fully trust all the staff here to provide the best care!

Always have good experiences here. They are great about giving you options and costs and advising what is "needed" vs what is "optional". Our senior cat who dislikes almost everyone even likes the vets here so I take that as a great character reference as to their care.

Update 5cyrs later... Due to cancer, we had to say goodbye to Seamus 5 years ago. 2 weeks later, Ronan came into our lives and helped to fill the hole that was left by the loss of our first staffy. Hillside Vet continues to be our vet of choice, and as you can see... The Hillside rehab techs go out of their way to ensure that our pup gets the amazing support he needs. Thank you Hillside Vet for always being there when we need you. Our overly rambunctious Staffy, Seamus, has been coming here for 5 years and always gets treatment fit for a person. Great staff that cares about what they do.
