This was my first boxing class ever and I had a great experience! The instructor, Jaime, was very accommodating and made the class feel welcoming right away. She explained the basics in detail so you can understand how to do the moves properly from the start. We were able to practice a few combos during the very first class, which was really encouraging. The atmosphere was friendly and supportive — I definitely recommend it🥊

Hero Academy is awesome! I’d genuinely recommend it to anyone looking to get in shape and enjoy the process. The gym has a positive, welcoming vibe (thanks to the fantastic owners and staff!) that makes it easy to show up consistently and learn.

Top notch, professional, fun atmosphere. Inclusive environment. Dog Friendly - Children safe and structured space. 26 students from St. Alcuin College had the pleasure of receiving instruction from Meego and Thayes as part of the PHE curriculum. Under guidance and respect of this space, we are honoured to train with this Hero Academy team. I am quite pleased with the programs provided there. I spent the summer coordinating camps for over 150+ awesome little Heros.

Fabulous facility! I trained at Hero Academy for a 3 day Jiu-Jitsu camp - the owner Jamie was very hospitable and welcoming. Mat space and bathrooms are very clean. Loved the availability of the showers and towels, great for after training and not having to wait till you get home. The gym location is easily accessible in the North Vancouver area and within walking distance of cafes and restaurants. Will definitely come back here to cross train again, whenever I am in the area!

The most welcoming space for martial arts and personal training. Not only are the owners very considerate people, their staff are stellar individuals as well. They respect your level of experience and give you the proper amount of attention to make you feel like you really want to be there. Nobody makes you feel intimidated and everyone during class is a joy to roll with. The gym stays clean and fresh, the showers are professionally tiled, and they even have a designated kids play area. Highly recommend Hero for anyone that wants to begin jiu jitsu or any martial art they offer. See you there!
