(January 4th 2026) -To start I wanna say I typically never complain even if it’s not to my satisfaction or had bad service (few times felt like new staff) as I am very understanding and also struggle to voice concerns or complain and typical walk away but today had me very upset (like almost teared up)
To begin with it felt very rushed at the end which was fair as they were closing yet still would’ve appreciated her checking her work more but I digress. Earlier during the nail appointment the machine had hit my skin in which I flinched (she checked the nail so would’ve definitely seen the red but said no words about it and quickly moved on as to finish my appointment, still other customers there at this time) in which I later checked to see it was again a little red but decided to just continue even thought it was hurting a bit and at the end simply asked for a discount considering I the client was hurt a little and was straight out refused by the owner because it wasn’t a “big” cut (cleaned it a bit but you can still clearly see the outline of blood on my skin) and since I had done short nails it was already “cheap”… took no accountability and didn't apologize and so I simply left as clearly the money is all that matters. Also noticed certain customers… receive better treatment as for instance I was given an annoyed look for asking her opinion and because I turned around for a second said she messed up cause I moved instead of just nicely saying to stay still. Even did lash extension before but was very much inadequate as only the top were lifted and button was messed up even felt some burning yet still wasn’t offered any discounts or anything… Don’t think I’ll be coming back very disappointed at the poor customer service and dismissive attitude on top of their high prices. Genuinely felt so frustrated I could’ve cried, expected much more from the owner.

I went in with an idea of what I wanted and gave them free reign. I was delighted with what I walked out with. They also helped my mom and I put our shoes back on so we wouldn't wreck our nails. We will definitely be back!

I want to preface this by stating my intention is only to provide constructive feedback on my experience from earlier today.
I confirmed my appointment in advance, specifically asking if the salon could perform gel nail extensions using forms. I was initially advised that tips would be better, but after I called back to confirm my preference for forms, the salon assured me they could do the service and confirmed the $25-$30 premium for it. I agreed to the price, understanding it was for the additional time and skill required.
Upon arrival, it was immediately clear the technician was not proficient with forms. They struggled to apply them correctly and compensated by applying excessively large blobs of gel. This improper application caused intense heat spikes during curing.
The service did not improve. On my middle finger, the gel cured incorrectly, lifting completely off my natural nail. I politely requested that the nails be removed and restarted to ensure a proper result. I explicitly stated I was willing to pay the additional charge to have them done correctly, even though I believe the responsibility to correct the error should have been theirs. I was instead assured the polish would mask the issues. This was not the case.
Further, a basic cuticle clean-up was initially presented as a separate paid add-on. It was only offered as "complimentary" after filing was complete, and even then, it was performed minimally.
The final result was unacceptable for the $99 price point:
· Nails were uneven and misaligned.
· A critical technical failure: the natural nail and the skin under the free edge were completely encapsulated by gel. This unhygienic application traps moisture and creates a risk for fungal growth.
· The cat-eye effect was completely missing from one nail, as the magnet was not used before curing.
While I appreciate the attempt to accommodate my request, the technician lacked the necessary skill to execute it. Paying a premium for a specialized service only to receive a flawed and painful result is deeply disappointing. I regret that my concerns during the appointment were not addressed, leading to this outcome.
UPDATE:
I left this salon in severe pain due to improperly applied gel extensions. When I returned within two hours for a refund, the technician, Megan, was dismissive of my concerns, blaming me for the pain. She became combative and argumentative.
The refund process was highly unprofessional—she attempted to refund the wrong amount, tried to charge me again, and falsely claimed she couldn't process a cash refund even though i paid with a debit card and there are no surcharges for it. It took intervention from my partner to finally get my money back.
Accepting clients for services they cannot perform correctly is dangerous, as faulty application can cause infections. I would not recommend this technician or this salon based on this experience.
To address the owner's response:
I had my nails redone the day after my appointment here. The difference was staggering. The new technician executed my exact request perfectly and painlessly.
This proves the failure was entirely with this salon's skill. They took my money for a service they couldn't perform and then blamed me for their awful work.
Heed the negative reviews: they are true. This business will gaslight you instead of taking responsibility. Save your money and your nails; go elsewhere.
To the owner: Train your staff or expect your reputation to deservedly crumble.
