I’ve been a member with hair club in Metrotown for a few months now. I am doing their EXT and laser therapy treatments. I wasn’t sure what to expect tbh, as there were some mixed reviews, but I decided to give them a try after considering the fact they have been around for almost 50 years, so clearly they are doing something right!! Also my consultant had amazing hair lol and she is in the same age range as me, so I went with my gut, and I am so glad I did! I am already seeing a huge change in my hair health in just 3-4 months!! I’m in my late 40’s and had been losing hair a lot since starting peri-menopause and it was a huge impact to me. Having the loss almost completely stop, and starting to see substantial change in my overall hair health has made me so much happier and given me a much more positive outlook! Thank you hair club for helping me! Side note; The center is very busy so there are some booking restraints but just book in advance and it works out well.

Whilst I did see some results, there are a few things I wish I had of known before I went here: 1 - Hair club is not a hair treatment or medical company. It is a sales company. Their job is to sell you an off the shelf product. They do not perform any tests to see what will work, and you do not deal with any medical or treatment specialists, only sales people and hairdressers 2 - the treatment is forever. You can't stop, otherwise the results disappear. They don't tell you this when you first sign up, so just be aware that you're basically signing up for life 3 - it's ridiculously expensive, and again, it's off the shelf treatment. Most people will get sold the EXT treatment, which is just minoxidil and you can buy that on Amazon for way less then what they will charge you 4 - treatment results vary significantly and there are no guarantees what they sell you will work. For the price they charge you would think it's a sure thing, but it isn't 5 - research minoxidil results and affects before you get the treatment so you understand what it does. They'll show you pictures of the best case scenario and they are misleading. If I had of known the above before I signed up, I wouldn't have gone here.

I really regret signing up for hairclub. I signed up for their EXT treatment which is a year long and it’s what they recommend to regrow hair naturally using minoxidil, hair vitamins, scalp massage, shampoo/conditioner, and in-office procedures once a month with red light therapy and hair mask treatment. I’m 6 months in and not getting the results I want. At the first consult, they had told me that some of my hair follicles seem like they’re not thriving or producing any hair, possibly even dying, but said the treatment can help revitilize them. I’m 6 months in and my hair is greasy, I’m still experiencing hair fall, and I’m not seeing results in my main problem areas. They have a policy of stopping at 6 months instead of continuing a full year if the results are unsatisfactory. They refused to honor this because they saw response in other areas of my scalp, even though they’re not my main problem areas!!! I feel like they exploited my insecurity for money. Their response time to my emails are so slow, it feels like they’re avoiding me on purpose. The manager here had no empathy whatsoever when I was discussing my concerns. She was very dismissive after not responding to me for weeks. They have no integrity. I wish I could give no stars. I’m absolutely devastated. Edit: a few days after posting this review, I got the reply below saying “we’d like to make things right” but despite their “customer satisfaction guarantee” they didn’t offer me anything but two options: continue treatment, or stop treatment AND still pay the rest of the 6 months of unused treatment. I’ve been scammed, everyone. Don’t let this be you.

Do not book appointments with hairclub. The consultants will advice you that if the treatment is not effective in 6months, you can get a refund!. It sounds great right? WRONG! It is a lie! They will claim there is hair growth even though there is non in the concerned area and blatantly refuse to refund you. And if you contact the higher ups they will claim " as per policy or per our contract", Or claim what the consultants told you was inaccurate but alas! you are out of thousands of dollars. Save your money go to other companies who are transparent, just get a hair transplant, or a wig somewhere else!. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO CALL THEM TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT! And to the company, don't bother leaving me your phone number either to discuss this review. My friend has already gone through the process.

I really regret signing up for HairClub’s package. It felt like a total scam. What they sell is basically minoxidil, some vitamins, and shampoo — products you can easily find online for a fraction of the cost. The minoxidil is extremely oily, so it forces you to wash your hair every day, which actually made things worse for me. On top of that, they constantly missed or delayed my monthly appointments. There were times they simply didn’t have enough staff, and yet by the end of the 12-month period, they told me my plan was finished — even though I had gone several months without the promised treatments. I felt completely dismissed when I tried to bring this up. Their “treatments” are basically a quick wash and a hair mask — nothing special, certainly not worth thousands of dollars. The service was rushed and impersonal. Overall, I’d give zero stars if possible. I don’t recommend wasting your time or money. Also beware, they have a lot of fake reviews here. Noticing when they get bad reviews they suddenly get inundated with vague positive reviews and five stars all at once. Disingenuous business‼️
