Nice clean big personal training gym. Dated building but they have a great inside setting, and saunas.

Sunday hiit class was hard and fun! Also very impressed with the instructor who not only did the workout with us but perfectly cueing and modifying the exercises over the music. She had such great energy and I left feeling quite invigorated. Will be back!

A trainer named Tony (50 M) keeps making fat jokes at my expense, for context, he knows I’m pregnant. For the past 4 months he has made two inappropriate comments about my body, joking about me being fat, and offering fat loss programs, while knowing I am pregnant. I have been avoiding him since the first comment, but he keeps coming up to me and my trainer during our session. When I told him that wasn’t okay and I was visibly upset, he got defensive and said “ oh - it’s a joke, come on” - instead of holding accountability and realizing how disrespectful and out of touch his comments are. I believe it’s inappropriate for a trainer to be making fat jokes at all, but especially to someone that isn’t his friend, his client, and someone who is pregnant and going through more physiological, mental and emotional changes then he could imagine. After my trainer spoke to him, he came up and explained that I took it the wrong way, instead of actually apologizing. What a disappointment.

I have an annual membership at gym box since last year... i was off for the last 5 months and returned yesterday. It felt great to be back! I often do the group classes that offer a variety of times through out the day. There have been upgrades to the gym with added equipment. Washrooms have lockers and showers available. Very clean atmosphere. All the trainers have great energy and provide guidance and encouragement during class! I noticed improvements in my strength, form and overall physical/mental health from coming to class. Offer classes for targeting different areas. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, not an intimating place to work out. They offer personal training, classes or option to use facility to do your own training There was a girl who took a class last night on Class Pass for the first time ,I spoke with her after and encouraged her to come back! I would recommend anyone of any fitness level to come to Gym Box.Thank you team at Gymbox!!
