I got my used Mitsubishi RVR serviced here today and I’m very pleased with my experience. First off, most shops said it would take a week or two just to get the parts needed to repair my SUV. Robert, on the other hand, was able to squeeze me in first thing the very next day, even though they had plenty of other work going on. The issues with my car were a safety hazard so I needed the work completed asap. Other shops quoted highly padded numbers—Robert didn’t. He gave me a very fair quote via email after I explained what needed to be done and then stuck to that number throughout the entire process. He didn’t try to upcharge me or change the initial price by a single penny. Robert and his team are honest, do great work, and offer fair rates. My car feels new again after the struts, tie rod, and bushings were replaced. I’ll definitely be returning here whenever something comes up (which hopefully isn’t often for my wallet’s sake!) and will be recommending this place to all my friends and family. These guys are truly no-BS and that’s exactly what I was looking for.

The rule of three can apply to fortunate events. When my long-time Mazda dealership declined to take on the job of rebuilding my V6 engine - citing the unavailability of parts - I asked the service manager if he could possible suggest an engine company that could tackle this type of job? His reply was: "give Magnem Engine Services in Burnaby a call." I then spoke with Randy at Magnem. He was honest with me: "I know this engine well and getting parts will be very challenging." He went on to say he was more than willing to reach out to his suppliers on both sides of the border to see what he could do for me. In short order, Randy called me back to say he could procure the parts necessary for the rebuild. My next question was: "do you do this type of work or know of a highly skilled mechanic who could handle this job and deal with any unforseen issues that would surely come up? He gave his full throttle support to Robert and Gary over at GMR Advanced Auto Works in Burnaby. Robert, Gary and their team of gifted mechanics treated me as if I was a decendent of Enzo Ferrari, rather than some guy with an old Mazda. All that Robert requested was that I gave him a little time. I'm happy to report that my Mazda is now running just like it did when I first drove off the lot from my Mazda dealership all those years ago. It is indeed a significant blessing to have a top-end, trustworthy mechanic and their team of professionals. My one regret is not going to GMR Advanced Auto Works and Magnem Engine Services Ltd., years ago. Thanks to everyone for their unique skills, commitment to working as a team and for ultimately provide me with excellent customer service. Best, Jim

I can’t say enough great things about Advanced Auto in Burnaby, especially Robert. He has been nothing short of amazing every single time I’ve needed help with my car. He’s taken care of all my vehicle issues, as well as my family’s and friends’ cars, and he’s truly the most trustworthy person I’ve ever dealt with in the auto industry. Robert is always honest, upfront, and never tries to rip you off, something that’s rare to find these days. The entire staff at Advanced Auto are wonderful, hardworking, and genuinely care about their customers. Every time I’ve had car troubles, Robert has gone above and beyond to help me out, often on short notice. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable, honest, and excellent service. Robert and his amazing team took excellent care of both my Mercedes and my son’s car. Their professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail are outstanding. The service was quick, reliable, and the prices are incredibly fair and affordable — especially for the high quality of work they deliver. The best shop in the Lower Mainland. My family and I have been going to Gary and Robert's shop for the last 20 years and have had all of our cars serviced from them. The service and quality of care is always excellent, and they are very transparent about what the car actually needs instead of trying to upcharge you. I purchased a 2008 Subaru from Robert two and a half years ago and it's running perfect with just regular oil changes. I'd recommend the shop to anyone!
