I know this was a small, very first‑world issue, but Jenny handled it with such care and professionalism that it genuinely stood out. Her wisdom, experience, and training as a nail technician show in the way she approaches even the smallest concern. There is a definite authenticity in the customer service here. Do you ever have one of those days when you realize you’ve been studying the wrong textbook for a few chapters, and then—just to top it off—you zip up your jacket and catch a nail? Today was that day. Jenny, at Gentle Nails, immediately understood the kind of morning I was having. True to her nature, she invited me to sit down right away and brought her 25 years of experience and her incredible eye for detail to the rescue. She took the nail right back to the base, reshaped it beautifully, and reapplied the exact polish colour so it looked brand new. She crafted it into a soft oval shape and used a natural pink powder with a pink overlay—one of those moments where I’m reminded how much I love her colour recommendations. The music, lighting, and atmosphere in the shop make it a calm, welcoming place. I can’t speak to the specifics of the product lines they use, but I always appreciate the colours Jenny suggests. The space is clean, relaxing, and has a friendly, community feel. Jenny asked me to share a review and her photo, and I’m happy to, because the work she does truly deserves recognition. She turned a chaotic day into a fresh start and a better perspective. I hope you have the chance to experience her care and professionalism too. Thank you, Jenny. The girls at Gentle Nails are truly the sweetest. They took their time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure my nails came out perfect. From the beautiful shape to the delicate design, everything was done with so much care. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, and I felt so comfortable the whole time. Gentle Nails has been nothing but the best nail place on the North Shore!! The owners — Jenny and Kevin — are incredibly talented, detail-oriented, and so welcoming. You can genuinely feel how much pride they take in their work and in making every client feel comfortable and cared for. Their staff is equally amazing — May, Helen, and all the lovely ladies are so skilled, gentle, and always go above and beyond to make sure your nails look perfect. Whether it’s gel, acrylic, designs, or simple polish, they absolutely nail it every time (no pun intended!). The salon is clean, relaxing, and consistently delivers top-notch service. I won’t go anywhere else — Highly, highly recommend! 💅✨
