From the moment I booked my appointment with First Avenue Dental, the entire experience was outstanding. The booking process was smooth and easy, and the receptionist was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made me feel comfortable right away. The dental hygienist, Shannon, was taking care of my daughter and was amazing, very professional, gentle, and thorough while also taking the time to explain everything and make sure she felt at ease. You can truly tell they care about their patients. When I went in, I saw Dr. Thiessen, and I also had Tara as the dental assistant. She was outstanding to deal with, friendly, professional, and made the appointment feel comfortable and smooth. Dr. Thiessen was excellent and took the time to explain my options very clearly so I fully understood what I needed to get done. I really appreciated how thorough and informative he was. Dr. Phen looked after my daughter and was equally amazing, kind, professional, and very attentive. Overall, First Avenue Dental provides excellent service from start to finish. The whole team creates a positive and comfortable environment, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional dental care.

Spent a fair amount of time in the chair, after a hockey incident broke a few teeth. All the staff were amazing, personable, and did their best to make it as comfortable as possible. Very happy with the results as well!

Stephanie, the dental therapist, was amazing with my daughter. She had a fun time and was in and out really quick. I didn't even need to be back there with her because she felt safe and happy. I Will definitely continue to bring my kids to Stephanie.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Thiessen for all our dental needs for about the last 10 years, give or take a couple months. He has been nothing but supportive and respectful in taking care of our dental health, and has given us an understanding that goes along with daily healthy life style habits. I have not posted a review every time, or for a very long time, because I like to be sincere. I have not felt it always necessary, because I’m always grateful and thanking the staff every time I’m there. I knew Dr. Thiessen and his sister and parents as an adolescent kid, and I can truthfully say, his family was always kind and caring to me and my siblings. Now that he’s been our dentist for so long, I think it needs to be said that he’s always had his best intentions with the care that he gives us. He’s done many procedures for us over the years, and supported our daughter in her extreme introverted fear of every appt. she’s had to have. He’s made our son feel welcome and confident going as well. He does exceptional work, and does the very best at building a good trusting and honest professional relationship with all of us. Not to mention lastly, certainly not least, that all of his staff and the multiple times admin and hygienist’s have all worked with us. Constantly listening, making their workplace a really down to earth and caring facility. So hopefully this gets to all of you, and hopefully you know how much it has meant to our entire family, on my behalf of how your kindness has affected us. I had such a great experience at First Avenue Dental! I went in for a cleaning and a filling, and the whole team made me feel so comfortable from start to finish. The staff were friendly, patient, and very professional — they explained every step clearly and made sure I was okay the entire time. The cleaning was super thorough and gentle, and my filling was done perfectly with no discomfort at all. The clinic itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, which really helps ease any nerves. I’m so glad I found this place — definitely recommending First Avenue Dental to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dental team! 🦷✨

Care was excellent. I had my top teeth removed, and immediate dentures put in. Took my special healthcare issues very serious and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Upon going to the denture for my follow up exam, the technician was particularly pleased with the work they had done. In fact, you took my plate out and admired it again. Thank you!

Anyone who knows me knows I HATE going to dental appointments, but yesterday I had the easiest one ever with Stephanie (hygienist) and Dr. Phen at First Avenue Dental. Very pleased. PS - When I typed Phen, my autocorrect wrote Phenomenal!!!

Top notch service here. Very accommodating when having to reschedule. Don’t remember ever waiting more than 2-3 minutes in waiting room. And everyone that works there is very kind and friendly. Also their work is absolutely amazing and painless
