Took off for a weekend at the Fairwinds resort near Nanoose Bay. Not cheap, but we were really loving the unit, the excellent restaurant, and the setting. This morning we went to workout at their gym ("Wellness Centre"), knowing there would be a charge. THIRTY-EIGHT DOLLARS PER PERSON!? We're not cheap, but we're careful. Nowhere on the Fairwinds website is this fee listed. We waited at the front registration desk for several minutes but no employee ever appeared, so we just went in. We could have just walked out without paying, but we're honest folks. Our reward.... ... no apology, multi-page forms to complete, and a bill for $76.

I trained for a full Ironman in the pool here. Staff are amazing (they put a little note out to encourage me on race day)! And the pool will be completely refurbished soon. It's great for swimmers of all levels.

Such a beautiful space! It was heaven to do easy-going laps without the public pool mayhem. Sublime! Linda was also a total gem. Thank you 🤍🕊🤍. Loved the sauna and hot tub too. 🏊‍♂️💙🏝

Great classes, lovely pool, and gymnasium hosts many classes plus drop in recreational and competitive pickleball. We are trying to get volleyball on the schedule. The Yoga, spin class, fitness classes and aquacize all have amazing teachers. Haven't used the tennis or hiking trails but the setting is beautiful and well maintained.
