Gina is absolutely amazing. We live in Nanaimo (and got married in Nanaimo), and she made our town feel brand new and special. We did a backyard photoshoot with our chickens, and then over to Saysutshun for an elopement. Gina's communication throughout was above and beyond. She did research on the tides and sunset. She provided recommendations for local vendors. I hate having my photo taken, and she made me feel at ease within the first 10 seconds of meeting her. She's like the most loyal best friend/wedding planner, with a sprinkle of loving mom-vibes all in one! Her energy is so positive, she genuinely cares, and her photos are amazing. I originally didn't even really want a photographer, and hiring Gina was the best decision. I can't recommend her enough.

We couldn't be happier with having Gina as our photographer for one of the best days of our lives. We booked her a year in advance to ensure her availability due to her exceptional work. Throughout the planning of our elopement, Gina was incredibly helpful, offering ideas, recommending vendors, and checking in with us. Her kindness, energy, and warmth made us feel so comfortable, which is evident in our photos. Gina worked hard to deliver our photos early and sent us sneak peeks soon after the elopement. We had an incredible experience working with Gina from day one. She was amazing and made everything so easy for us. From the start, she was highly organized and provided us with numerous tips to prepare for the day. She even went into detail about perfect locations and parking, which was especially helpful since we were driving a big RV. We were initially worried about how our young kids would behave, but Gina had plenty of tricks up her sleeve and was extremely patient with them. Her ability to engage with the kids and keep them entertained made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful, capturing precious moments that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Gina for her professionalism, creativity, and incredible talent. I can honestly say, I have never been more happy with a photographer or photography company than I was with Gina Woods at Driftwoods Photography. This is saying something, because I am the daughter of a photographer! My husband and I are from the Southeast United States and wanted to renew our wedding vows on our 25th wedding anniversary on Vancouver Island. I looked at several photographers' websites and was really drawn in by the Driftwoods Photography site. The photos on the site captured sweet and precious moments between couples and families. From first contact until weeks after the event, our experience could not have been better! Gina met with us via Zoom, got to know who we were and what we were looking for, and not only provided us with venue options, but a visitor's guide to the island! The place we ended up choosing was deep in the forest off of a trail and required hiking. Not only was she willing to do this for us, she was excited about it! When we got the pictures back I cried because they were so amazing! We wanted to be surrounded by a magical forest with photographs that captured the essence of our relationship. Gina did just that! Within one day, she sent us preview pictures and within one week, she sent us all the photos digitally. We had a two hour session and she took many photographs. Her pictures are high quality and her prices are extremely reasonable! I highly recommend Driftwoods Photography to anyone looking for a photographer. Whether it is simple family pictures or a destination elopement, your photographs will be exactly what you want because Gina will spend time getting to know you, will listen to what you want, and is blessed with an amazing talent!

Gina is an absolute pro and great to work with. The quality of her photography is excellent so I knew we would get lovely shots in a beautiful setting, but I didn't realize how much fun we would have! We loved exploring Neck Point Park with her and she made our family feel so comfortable and natural. She is fantastic with kids. I love the candid quality of her shots and we get a ton of compliments on the photos. If you have the opportunity to hire her, do it!!
