Had a Sunday sewer back up in basement. Called Leduc Plumbing and Heating. They were able to come out but they recommended Drain Tech. Problem solved after some effort. Can't say enough about these two companies, their professionalism and their support of one another. Thankyou guys!!!

Rant to Drain Tech Millet/Wetaskiwin I am posting this to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from Drain Tech regarding a plugged sewer line at my property on Aug 02/24 When the Plumber arrived, I explained there was a specific drain that I believed was the source of the problem. However he dismissed this and spent over 3 hours working on a different drain. He then told me there were two sewer lines entering my basement and proceeded to use a camera and jetter to try to locate a second line. After three hours of work, the issue remained unresolved, and as he was leaving, he damaged three of my steps by dragging equipment up the stairs. I was charged $1,202.25 for that visit, including: -$395 for the auger -$350 for the camera -$250 for the jetter -$150 for overtime charges Concerned about the amount paid and the problem was still not fixed, I called the office the next day. I was told I had requested a camera when I originally called, which I did not. I specifically called to have a plugged sewer line fixed, and there was no mention on my part of needing a camera or jetter. The representative on the phone said they wanted to make things right, which I took to mean that I would be reimbursed for the unncessary equipment charges and the damage to my steps. Based on that understanding, I agreed to have a second visit scheduled. At the second visit, the same plumber finally addressed the drain I had pointed out on the first visit - and the blockage was cleared. However, I was shocked to receive the following charges for the second visit. -$900 fir three hours of overtime for two men ($300/hour) -$150 for equipment (auger) -minus $100 for stair damage and a $50 discount -$45 GST Total of $945 Notice the charge for the auger during the first visit was $395 - second visit it was $150. The auger was the only equipment that was brought in on the second visit. Additionally I was dealing with the recent loss of my brother, which left me in a vulnerable state and unable to oversee the work as attentively as I normally would. I feel the situation has been mishandled both technically and ethically. I have submitted to the BBB and Drain Tech has not responded.

We got in contact with drain tech when our drains backed up. They were super responsive and Kevin even came out after hours. He was very knowledgeable and got the job done efficiently. I highly recommend drain tech if you are in need of a plumbing job. Thanks for everything guys! Plumbers truly are everyday heros.
