I see Tara and she is an amazing and attentive stylist. Could not be happier. The salon has such good vibes too. People often just all end up chatting together, I've never experienced that at any other salon.

Tara is the best stylist in Victoria. She does my hair and my daughter's too. This place is laid back and just great. Don't go downtown, go here. Tara understands how hair works, you can tell.

I highly recommend Emerald as a hair dresser! I just can’t put into words how happy I am with my hair! I went into the salon with a vague idea of what I wanted but not sure exactly. Emerald gave me a haircut and colour that looks like it was made for me, it’s how my hair should have looked for years! It’s fits me perfectly! She is the kindest and loveliest person I’ve ever met and just so amazingly accommodating to some parenting issues that came up during my appointment!! I can’t imagine going to anyone else for my hair.

By far this is the best hair salon experience I have had in Victoria! Tara has talent, experience and it shows! She is very knowledgeable, excellent with hair cuts even for long hair and she is pleasant to deal with, unpretentious, unlike other stylists have dealt with in the past at other salons. The ambiance of this salon instead, is welcoming, cozy and comfortable. I felt relaxed and I felt my stylist understood exactly what haircut I was looking for and the result was PERFECT! She also offered useful suggestions, which I believed were great! I had been to more expensive salons downtown and the ambiance was intimidating, the hair cut was poor and the cost was outrageous. At Design House Salon I found my stylist for a fair price and an environment that is pleasant and comfortable. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants an amazing stylist and a peaceful ambiance!
