Shoutout to Laura!! I went to Des Curl Spa after having 3 years of hair growth that had never been trimmed. my hair was around 18 inches long with lots of split ends and unhealthy dry ends. First I was given a bottle of water, and then went through a discussion on my hair history, what I wanted to achieve, and what Laura thought the outcome would be, giving an estimate of how it would look based on my requests. She then proceeded with the dry cut, taking off exactly the amount I wanted (around 6-8 inches of hair). Then went for a clarifying wash, followed by a regular wash, and a deep condition which was all very relaxing and felt great. Afterwards Laura styled my hair and gave me details on everything she was doing so that I would be able to do the same at home. Using a leave-in product as well as gel, Laura brushed my hair in a way that lifted at the roots and defined my curls, and then diffused them. In the end I ended up with my curls styled in a way that I had never imagined possible. Throughout this process Laura took before and after pictures for me, recommended products, and instructed me on how to properly go through a wash day routine, long term care, sleep instructions, and styling/maintenance instructions. The follow up email also listed all of the information listed above in case I needed a reminder or wanted to refer back to it. I left feeling amazing about my hair, and knowing that I made the right decision. As long as I intend to keep my hair/curls long, I will go to Des Curl Spa to have it cared for.

Destini was fabulous! This was my first time at this salon and I was thoroughly impressed. The environment and vibe was inviting and positive. Destini was very knowledgeable and obviously well versed in her craft. My scalp felt amazing after the treatment and my curls feel clean and hydrated. I would highly recommend her services and am very appreciative of her time.

THIS is the place you want to come to get your curly hair cut, styled, tamed, braided, etc. My girls are so sensitive about hair cuts and they LOVED the owner, Destini, and their stylist, Laura, and everyone else they met there too! Such a kind, authentic vibe and everyone takes a lot of pride in their work and in the salon. Nothing but good things to say - we will be back. Don't question it - book here!

I had an amazing experience with Destiny! Since my hair is processed, I wanted something that would help me grow it out naturally. She explained everything, gave me a haircut that suits me, and even sent me by email a full analysis of my hair type, products to use, and how healthy it is — something I had never experienced in any other salon. Super professional and highly recommended, especially for wavy and curly hair!
