Recently I was on the highway driving a fairly new car that does not come with a spare tire. The car was towed back to New Westminster. I called Dawson Service in the morning and I had my car back in the afternoon with the tire fixed. Thanks to Justin & Khalil for a job well done. Regards, Dorothy J.

I've taken my van to Dawson's twice - first time for an oil change that cost me almost DOUBLE what I paid for the next oil change at Canadian Tire. The second time was for a pre-purchase inspection. Dawson reported codes on the diesel engine and an oil leak. Obviously, NO sale as a result. Today I took my van to a real diesel mechanic shop (they specialize in diesel engines). They did a full diagnostic on the engine and found NO codes and NO history of codes! At my request, they also tested for an engine oil leak - and guess what, NO oil leak!!

How have I never posted a review for Dawson’s?! I’ll be using them tomorrow & it dawned on me that I’ve never given my opinion after a decade of going there. My neighbours had originally recommended them because of their (seemingly) honest experiences. We have several women living alone in our area who have used them for years and trust their business practices (it’s hard when you don’t have a mechanically inclined person in your household). We all pass on referrals when a new neighbour moves in now. It may have taken me too long but I highly recommend this shop and the great guys who run it.

I googled nearby repair shops as my brakes on my 2018 F350 had completely failed in a parking lot. I read the Dawson Service Ltd. reviews and decided to call them first. I definitely made the right choice! I had my truck towed to their shop. Justin called me within 2 hours with details of what needed immediate attention and gave me a couple different options of parts. By 3 pm the same day his team had my truck ready for pick up with new brakes, rotors and calipers at the price quoted. The team also did an inspection of the truck and documented a few other issues with video, pics and notes of what would be of priority, pricing and what could wait to be addressed.I am very happy with the quality of the work, reasonable/transparent pricing, the fact they squeezed me in immediately even though quite busy and the high level of professionalism shown by Justin and the team. My family will definitely be using Dawson Services from now on for all our vehicle maintenance and repairs!

Mechanics you can trust. That's really the bottom line with Dawson Service. Between Will and Justin, Rob and Ryan and all the other people there they're all such solid people. Their work is always of a very high standard and they frequently offer me options for repairs that better suit my occasionally limited budget. There's never any mysterious charges on the invoice hidden behind opaque abbreviations, no exorbitant shop supply charges, no repairs that weren't agreed to. I've been bringing cars to them for over twenty years now and I've always been very happy. They've just always been very fair and they're always an absolute pleasure to deal with. I can't recommend them highly enough. Your car is in great hands when you leave it with Dawson.
