I was very impressed with this office. I recently moved from Ontario to BC and was referred here by my sister-in-law, and the experience exceeded expectations. Walking in Vanessa greeted us with a smile and right away began showing our kitties some love. I booked a simple vaccine and exam, but the vets and assistants were incredibly thorough, compassionate, and educational. When a potential diabetes concern came up, the team made time for same-day testing to avoid extra visits and stress for my cat. They clearly explained options, were mindful of cost and invasiveness, and never pushed unnecessary testing—which I truly appreciated. Despite my cat being very anxious, the staff was patient and kind throughout. Vanessa in particular made what could have been a stressful visit genuinely pleasant with her friendliness, honesty, and compassion. I was also blown away to receive a personal follow-up call from the vet the very next day (on a Saturday) with clear explanations, full bloodwork results, and guidance on next steps. He then followed up this call by emailing me full lab results and the options for moving forward. This office truly cares about the pets and their people. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking for a vet!

On the last day of the year, my dog developed a skin problem and I was extremely worried. The clinic gave me an urgent appointment, and the doctor treated my dog with kindness, patience, and great knowledge. After two sleepless nights, that evening both my dog and I were finally able to sleep peacefully. I’m truly grateful for their care and support.

I was intensely nervous about neutering for a 4 year old cat, the process as he's much older than usual for this procedure, and the cost as well. However, the team at Cypress was beyond amazing and not only were they efficient, polite and kind, they went above and beyond! The most important thing was that I told them I was nervous about the cost and they actually charged me a touch UNDER what I had available for the neuter - they really listened when I communicated my anxiety about the cost to them. I am beyond thankful and will only be taking my cat there for any care he may need in the future. The doctor was so gentle and understanding, although the cat didn’t make it easy LOL, but also the office manager (who personally ensured me multiple times that he would see to it that the cost was not beyond what I could afford and he very much delivered on that promise) and the reception staff are just so sweet and great at what they do. Everything was explained very well to me which helped with my nervousness a lot. The procedure went smoothly and the cat was back to acting goofy and doing stunts (much to our horror) within a couple of hours of being home. Thank you all!

They were all very kind with me, and gentle with my pet. I appreciated that they were clear about what was required and what was only recommended, and I didn't feel pressured about anything. I appreciate especially that the care was tailored to my pet's lifestyle. Given the increasing cost of everything right now, being able to visit a vet where I know that they're going to recommend only what is in the best interest of my pet, and not try to upsell or upcharge, is so important.

I love Cypress St Animal Hospital! They have taken great care of my cat ever since he was a kitten. I especially appreciate that their veterinarians are so honest about appropriate care - I always feel that I’m receiving accurate and reasonable advice for my cat, and when he had a urinary blockage their help was wonderful. He’s been perfectly healthy ever since recovering from the blockage (several years ago now!) thanks to their care ❤️
