My son had a filling that cracked and fell out. The dentist said the cavity was getting worse so he would most likely need a pulpotomy and a cap. Today we showed up for what I thought was his appointment but I had mistaken the date. I was very impressed when they asked the dentist and he said he could squeeze him in an hour later. Then my son got in and after a quick xray and wiggle of my son's tooth, the dentist decided it was probably infected and he should pull the tooth. "We'll just pop it out." So the nitrous mask was started and then the first needle of freezing with which my son was okay at first, but then really uncomfortable. He toughed it out and we waited the few minutes to set the freezing. The dentist checked and my son could still feel some spots that should have been frozen. So the second needle was used. This time, my son really had a hard time. He was saying it hurts and trying to stop them. (I am no stranger to dental work. Ive had a lot done to my own mouth. But this is a 7 year old child.) The dentist was surprised and said "I've never seen that happen" and "9/10 kids don't feel anything." Then he pulled the tooth and it was too much for a child. It was terrible. He was in more pain than necessary. The dentist should have stopped and suggested another option. And I should have intervened. We were referred to Coulee Kids because our regular dentist (Dr Ryan Johnson) refused to let a child endure too much pain or discomfort for fillings and thought the nitrous gas would help my son have an easier time. Not impressed and not going back.

My three kids had a great time at their dental appointment at this clinic. The environment is really kid-friendly and not at all intimidating for them.

The dentist (I forgot his name) and his dental assistant was great with my 2 year old. She has DS and they knew right off the bat how to check her teeth. They were kind, friendly, warming and welcoming

These guys are truly incredible. All of the staff are so kind and caring. Even when my son had dental surgery the anesthesiologist helped me all the way to my car because he was in a wheelchair. The dentist and front desk staff and hygienists are all so amazing. There are not enough words. If you have anxious children or if they have special needs this is the place to go. They are absolutely outstanding. I wish I could give 10 stars!

Very friendly staff. They were great with my 2 year old son. There’s a colouring station and tv in the waiting room to keep the kids busy. They made my son feel so comfortable with all the tools and let him pick a show to watch. And they let my son choose a prize from a big drawer after and put his samples into a bag with him. Overall a wonderful experience and a great environment to introduce a child to what can be a pretty scary experience for so many.
