I had an excellent experience at Coquitlam Dental Group. Dr. Kamaei is truly an exceptional dentist — highly skilled in implants, gum surgery, and root canal treatments. His precision, professionalism, and calm approach made me feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process. I used to feel anxious about dental procedures, but he made everything smooth and stress-free. I also want to thank Kathy and Natasha at the front desk. They are incredibly friendly, organized, and welcoming. From booking appointments to answering questions, they make the whole experience seamless. Absolutely love the environment here! The receptionist and dentists are all so professional and kind. I normally see Dr. Orkideh for my check ups but I recently saw Dr.Kamaei for my tooth extraction. The procedure went smoothly and so fast! You can really tell he has a lot of experience doing this. All to say, such a great experience throughout. Kind people and great service.

I booked my boyfriend an appointment here a few years ago and did not return afterward. As someone who has worked in dental, I was disappointed with the experience. When I booked the appointment, I specifically told the receptionist that no panorex was to be taken, as one had already been done within the last couple of years. Typically, panoramic X-rays are not required within a 5-year window, especially when there are no wisdom teeth present. I clearly requested that only 4 bitewing X-rays be taken. Despite this, they went ahead and told my boyfriend that the panoramic X-ray was “needed or wasn’t clear” and proceeded with it anyway. I only found out after the appointment. This directly went against what I had communicated when booking. I believe I directly sent in the panorex from the ortho office I worked at too. Therefore, I can confidently say the panoramic x-ray had no issues. It left me with the impression that the X-ray was taken simply because it was covered by insurance, with the remaining amount written off — rather than being clinically necessary. Regardless of the reason, patient consent and prior instructions should be respected. Because of this experience, I chose not to book here again for him.
