I called the salon and asked if there was a hairstylist who knew how deal with very coarse and thick hair, and they had recommended Malva. Malva does not know how to give haircuts. She's good for colour, just not haircuts. I wanted to thin out my hair but Malva ended up giving me a Hime style haircut (I think she was trying to give me curtain bangs but failed miserably). You can tell if a hairstylist lacks the technique to cut hair when they have to wash your hair first and cut your hair while it is wet. You will be in for a surprise once she is done cutting it and then goes on to blow dry it. If you have thick/coarse/curly hair, do not go to Malva.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough good things about Collective Beauty Studio! The entire staff is so welcoming, kind, and talented – you can really tell they love what they do. I absolutely loved my colour and cut; it turned out even better than I imagined. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. I left feeling refreshed, confident, and already excited to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a salon that truly goes above and beyond!

They had me booked in for Friday with Jenny. When I went in they switched my stylist to a junior stylist Lara. She took 3hours 15 minutes for a simple cut and all over color. I could tell she was not experienced with cutting or colouring hair. After hair wash the dye stains were clearly visible on my skin, she didn't take the effort to clean it and just handed me a cotton pad to clean it up myself but didn't want to wait till I was done. I asked for a color to cover my greys and She clearly missed out quite a few greys. When i pointed it out she just took a pair of scissors and cut it off. Not the best solution I was looking for. I just left with a feeling that not all customers are treated fairly at this salon. I booked my visit based on Google rating but was highly disappointed with the way it turned out and for the price I was charged its just not worth the time and money.

I am so happy today—my hair turned out exactly the way I wanted, just like the picture I showed! My stylist,Jenny, is truly amazing. She completely understands what the customer wants, and I’ve finally found my go-to place for haircuts. I absolutely love my new style and feel so grateful to Jenny for giving me such an amazing look. Thank you so much, Jenny—you’re the best! 💇‍♀️💕
