I have been a member at Cliffside for many years! Since I was kid looking for a new outlet and an welcomeing community to go with it. Little did I know just how important and impactful the space and it's people were going to be to me over the following years. So many good times, so many wonderful outlets! Very grateful for all the fun and excitement, how close and caring everyone is and how amazing the people are, both in staff and fellow members! Thank you Cliffside!! Y'all rock!

As a climber of over 12 years, in which I have many gyms between, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, I honestly find this gyms to be one of my favorite climbing gyms in Canada. Firstly for a gym that has been around since the nineteen ninedees, it is the cleanest climbing gym from this era. They have expanded to add a new bouldering section which has kept them up to date to the current expectations from a high quality gym. There total number of routes has always impressed me with over 90 bouldering problems at any given time and around 75 top rope routes. The difficulty of these routes are on par to outdoor grading and technical complexity. Though they set in a very different fashion then at commercial climbing gyms, they reset the entire gym within one week around every other month, it encourages you to try problems that are outside of your comfort zone and become a stronger climber. As for training options, they could have more training equipment but because they set in a traditional method the movement helps you be prepared for outdoor climbing. This helps you get better on projects outdoors and develop better tension. On that note they have 2 training boards, the tension board 1 and a campus board upstairs. The culture of this gym is above expectations. You can go up to anyone and chat with them about a problem you are working on or just make a new friend for life. The staff are just as friendly and quite helpful when you have issues or need help with something in particular. They put on scramble completions for the community and give everyone the chance to track their progress with each boulder series which gives you the chance to win rope or a crash mat as prizes. The owners are down to earth and support the community and take there concerns with seriousness. I'm excited to get even stronger and accomplish my outdoor goals because of this place ! Thank you for being such a great place it was much needed after climbing at a commercial gym for two years where the culture and the setting is just not what climbing is all about !!

One of my favorite gyms! I've climbed in Calgary and smaller towns and this gym is the perfect blend of modern and old school styles. The staff are friendly and the community that frequents Cliffside is even better. They recently came under new ownership and have made some fantastic updates! I highly recommend this as a place to grow climbing skills or just get some activity in.

This place is the best! My partner and I come here multiple times a week and it has the best community. We have made so many friends here, the staff are so friendly and chatty and greet us every time we come in🤗 I’ve been to many gyms over the years and this is the best one for sure. Thank you for this gym and the sense of welcomeness and community it has provided us when we first moved here!

I have never left a google review but this is the best gym I’ve ever been to. The sets are really good and having them up and not resetting every couple of weeks forces you to progress and try harder climbs. Not only is it set well but the community is incredible!! The owners are so nice and so are all the staff. They’ve given great beta when I’m struggling and are just always friendly and fun! Couldn’t recommend this place more for great climbing and great community!
