DO NOT GO I BEG YOU!! (PCA Act) deprived of adequate veterinary care. This includes being in pain, injured,deprived,unsafe. On November 25th at 12:45pm, I took my Chihuahua, Molly in for a Nail cut and a gland cleaning to central city animal vet in new west minister. She’s seven years old and she has been getting her hygiene taken care of from the vet her whole life, she has never returned back bloody bruised, or hurt or scared from being in the hands of professionals in checkup. These veterinarians should not be practicing and harming other people's dogs and cats. Clearly these governing bodies cannot regulate veterinarians and adequately protect the interest of pet owners at the same time. That day she was returned with all of the above, they caused damage to the blood vessels in her eye from force trauma, the amount of force they used while cutting her Nails and handling resulted in blood. There was blood coming out of her nose, eyes showing in the PDF files below. I feel so sorry for my puppy as I went here TRUSTING them with my animal. Just to come in for something so small and return with this I can’t imagine how much malpractice goes on during surgeries and animals recovery, etc..

Took my dog there today to have her anal glands expressed. A vet tech took her inside and came out in the waiting room after about 10 minutes to tell me that he's sorry but while trying to shave my dogs matted fur around the anus my dog moved and he cut her. This is unacceptable and quite disturbing to me as ive never asked, agreed or been informed that they will want to cut/shave that area (or any other area). Therefore my dog now suffers and has a cut in the anal area and I can only imagine how painful that may be and how long that area will take to heal. They offered a refund for the fees ive paid and a free ointment to be applied twice daily for 7-10 days to prevent infection. Hopefully my dog will recover soon and won't get an infection although I fail to see how she won't since they cut her on her anus. Ive been a client of this clinic for the past 20 yrs and ive entrusted them with the life of all my pests during this long period of time but this stopped today. Big difference in how this clinic used to be run yrs ago and now. Avoid at all costs taking your furry friends there if you want whats best for them.

The staff here are all lovely people. They take the time to thoroughly examine our cat and I feel like my cat gets the best of care. I also feel they do not overcharge like many animal hospitals do. If you are looking for a great animal hospital, Central City is your place! My cat loves her Doctor. 😺

I always say that if you work in animal care, you have to do it for love and truly understand that on the other side, for their guardians (owners), they are not just "animals" or "pets," but a fundamental part of the family—often treated like children. I have three Mini Schnauzers, and all three have Central City Animal Clinic as their top choice for veterinary care. We have always been extremely well looked after; the veterinarians, receptionists, and veterinary technicians are all incredibly attentive. I have absolutely nothing to complain about, but I would like to specifically highlight Dr. Michelle Chen. Dr. Chen oversaw the dental treatment of Kia, our 14-year-old Mini Schnauzer, and she was the main veterinarian responsible for Kia's last surgery. Dr. Chen is not just a super professional who profoundly understands her field, but she genuinely gets the guardians' perspective. She is exceptionally caring, speaks in "our language," and is dedicated to providing the most precise information possible. She gives comfort and security to guardians through everything she says and suggests. Dr. Chen is truly an outlier—she's the one who stands out because of her different, more human, and wonderfully attentive approach. Our three dogs have been seen by various veterinarians over the years, but I single out Dr. Chen among them all. We feel fortunate and grateful that our Kia was cared for by her. Michelle, Paula and I wish you immense success in your profession. May you continue to be the exemplary professional who works with such heart and dedication. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is my favorite vet clinic in the area. The staff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable. Our border collie Pistol just had her teeth cleaned and unfortunately had to have a couple removed due to decay. The team took good care of her and her mouth healed quickly. I ended up moving all three of pets care this clinic. Celebrating turning 10 today!
