My brake caliper was seizing and luckily this was the nearest shop near me at that time. Eric explained everything to me and stayed overtime to work on my car because I wanted it to be done fast if possible as I use my car to go to school. Plus points for updating me about the progress and doing other necessary stuff free of charge! Will definitely come back here again for my next car service!

I had gotten my heater fixed at another highly-rated mechanic in Richmond and I was happy at the time because of the inexpensive repair. They chose to repair rather than replace the part which they said would be labor intensive and cost in the thousands. A year later it broke. They said it wasn't covered by warranty since it was a repair, not a replacement, which cannot withstand the heater or aircon on full blast (which they did not mention the first time.) Since there was no warranty I hoped to get it fixed at Carma, but during the wait as the weather cooled I couldn't defog my windshield so I took it back to the same place. They repaired it and did something slightly differently this time and charged me less. I didn't know any better and was pleased with their service, and I made sure I never had the heater on full blast. Two years later it broke when I had the aircon on medium blast, so I took it to Carma. Eric looked into it and said it was a known issue with my car. He ordered a new part, and the bill was less than the first repair at the other mechanic, and only slightly more than the second repair. Had I gotten it fixed at Carma the first time I could've saved myself the cost of those two bills. I'm surprised that the other mechanic did not do what seemingly should be basic procedure, and that Eric's research and knowledge made all the difference.

Eric and Carma Auto are the absolute best in Richmond. He is efficient, honest and has the best/fairest prices. I have taken three cars to him and he had no problems fixing the issues quickly. He also sends pictures and explains the issue. Always a pleasure catching up with him. I will only go to him.

I brought my vehicle in for maintenance and Eric did a fantastic job. He was able to accommodate a convenient time for me and explained everything in detail. Eric is very friendly and has great customer service; I would definitely recommend him and will be going back for future service.

From 1 dad to another, this is where you want to take your car for servicing. It's really rare to find an honest mechanic these days and Eric is one of those guys. We have been been taking our cars to him for years now. And he has always tried to save us money whenever he could. But at the end of the day he still charges standard mechanic wages, which we are more than happy to pay for the top notch quality, honesty, reliability, dependability & friendliness. Dad advice: always know a good lawyer, doctor, mechanic, handyman, computer guy & a good friend. If you come to Carma, you can cross 2 off the list. Stay safe. Updated: March 2022 My Catalytic Convertor was stolen off my SUV at 3:45AM, on a Sunday morning! What a friggin hassle! I drive my car for business purposes, so I had business insurance and I had goldstar. Long story short. ERIC is SUCH a STAND UP guy!!! I told ICBC I wanted to take my car here as this is my regular mechanic. Eric did all the research like he normally does before he actually starts any work and calls me back to give me his best guess with his quote. This one took a lot longer than normal. When he did get back to me, he actually suggested I go DIRECTLY to Applewood Mitsubishi! No one wants to turn away business especially an ICBC claim, but Catalytic Convertors are in very short supply and the wait time could be weeks even months. But a dealership might have a better connection. He knew that my family would be forced to share 1 car until this is resolved and my wife and I work in different cities. - posted a photo of my stolen catalytic convertor - finally got it repaired just before St.Patrick Day That my friend, is putting your customer's need before yours! It's all in the name. It always comes back, karma. Thanks again Eric!
