Owning a pet is a massive responsibility. As pet lovers, we want to ensure our companions are treated with respect and love. For years, we struggled to find a clinic that properly treats exotic pets. Our Syrian hamster recently developed an eye infection with pus, and after seven days of trying to treat him at home with saline solution and cage cleanings, his condition worsened. We were hesitant to seek professional help because our previous hamster passed away at a different clinic, leaving us feeling like that vet cared more about a 'cash grab' than the animal's life. However, the glowing reviews for Capitol Hill gave us hope. Dr. Bhavesh Tailor was kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He provided three treatment options and explained the potential side effects clearly. The process was flawless, and Tibbles remained unstressed throughout. Dr. Bhavesh prescribed eye drops and antibiotics while guiding us through the home recovery process. After seven days, Tibbles showed massive improvement, and after 14 days, he had made a full recovery. He has gained healthy weight and is back to playing and exploring. We are so grateful to Capitol Hill and Dr. Bhavesh for restoring our trust.

I have dealt with Dr. Chow and Dr. Meyer of Capitol Hill Animal Hospital and they are truly outstanding. I have not met their other two doctors, but if they are 1/2 as good as Dr. Chow and Dr. Meyer, then they are also excellent. This is a well run animal hospital staffed with efficient and friendly receptionists, wonderful vet techs and last but not least, Nicole, who is an ace when it comes to accounting matters. A privilege, to have had these caring and very dedicated people look after my beloved bird. I highly recommend Capitol Hill Animal Hospital.

Dr. Chow is an amazing bunny vet! I also want to say how good the techs (Simone and Alice) were with our bunnies! They really went the extra mile during our visits and helped us out with our move away from the area. The team really prioritized our rabbits health and comfort, explained procedures clearly, and were clearly keeping up with the latest research about rabbit vet care.

​I cannot recommend this clinic enough, especially for anyone with reptiles. They are, without a doubt, the best veterinary team I have ever encountered. My bearded dragons life was saved here after a terrifying ordeal where two other vets dismissed her symptoms and didn't take her urgency seriously. I knew something was wrong, and thankfully, this team knew it too. ​From the moment we walked in, it took them less than 30 seconds to recognize the dire nature of her condition. They possess genuine, deep knowledge about exotics and acted immediately. They performed emergency surgery that saved her life. Now, she's doing absolutely amazing! ​This clinic doesn't just go above and beyond; they actually know what they're talking about and truly care. If you need a vet who listens, understands specialized needs, and is ready to fight for your pet's life, look no further. They are heroes.

Dr. Chow is by far the best rat veterinarian in the lower mainland. I am impressed with Dr. Chow and the vet techs every time we go. I will do my absolute best to never go anywhere else for rat care ever again. Dr. Chow is incredible, the vet techs are always so caring, kind, and genuine animal lovers. The prices are affordable, especially compared to other vets that see rats in the area. Most of the receptionists are wonderful also. I highly recommend Capitol Hill and specifically Dr. Chow for anyone looking for rat care. I've been to several other vets that see rats in the area and none of them even come close to the knowledge and care that Dr. Chow has. Euthanasia is also very affordable and you are able to be present the entire time.
