I did the fast braces with Dr. Katy. And overall, I had a wonderful experience. Background about me: I had some serious dentist phobia. I’m usually extremely sensitive to the sounds of the machine they use. Dr. Katie was able to help me manage this by explaining what’s gonna happen, how long it’s gonna be and it does help to have the screen or a show playing on the screen and I usually bring my noise canceling headphones. My diagnosis and consultant experience: I had an overbite, overcrowding, crossbite, and I had two incisors that were turn about 90°. I had consulted with four orthodontist; two of them specialized in Invisalign and other two braces. Dr. Katy was the only one that didn’t approach my situation or my case with a disapproving attitude or inconvenience attitude. She was quite encouraging and told me what could be achieved and manage my expectations. One of the other orthodontist told me he couldn’t do anything unless I got a jaw surgery first; he was very dismissive. My experience with the fast braces and routine adjustments: given that it’s supposed to be faster than traditional braces, there was a considerable amount of discomfort for me. But the team was able to recommend things that could help me with the pain and discomfort. Results and removal experience: I am very happy with my results. The removal process was very straightforward and then I got my teeth clean right after and the hygienist is amazing. She is so patient and so gentle. The Burnaby Heights Dental Centre team are pretty amazing and I am definitely less scared of dentists now. Anyway, thank you for reading my review.

I was fortunate to be bestowed with a solid set of teeth, requiring few visits to the dental office, apart from annual cleanings and checkups. During a recent visit to my relatively new dentist, Dr Katy Anagnostou, she, somewhat surprisingly, strongly recommended several procedures, including the replacement of a crown. Apart from a slight suspicion that not all of this may be necessary, and the steep price to perform the work, I had no reason not to trust her advice. A few weeks later, I walked into her office to get the work done. What followed, starting soon after I left her office, was six weeks of pure agony accompanied by persistent headaches, nausea, and a fuzzy brain. Her advice – take Advil. That did not help much. Before the pain had completely settled, she proceeded to permanently fix the crown in its place, but my misery continued – her advice this time was to perform a root canal procedure for an additional $1,786. At this point, I felt it prudent to seek a second opinion. The second dentist I approached was baffled that the crown was fixed in place without first ensuring that the earlier discomfort had ceased. She was also surprised that I had not been offered proper pain medication, and most importantly, antibiotics, as there was evidence of infection within the tooth. The botched work by this dentist was eventually fixed by an endodontist who had to drill through the brand-new crown to remove the damaged nerves. I respectfully requested the dentist to consider a refund for part of the work, which she declined. My key learning from this experience – if you are not an expert in dental matters, you must be able to trust your dentist. I will not return to this dentist.

Dr. Katie is an exceptional dentist, very knowledgeable and incredibly good at what she does. I’ve been coming here for years and am so grateful I found her. Victoriana and Mikhaila are equally wonderful, and together they create a professional environment where you always feel looked after and they are clearly committed to excellent care. You can truly feel you’re in good hands here. Highly highly recommended.

I have no words about this clinic! I have visited multiple clinics abroad and in Canada in multiple cities, Dr. Katy and Viktoriana are examples in the industry! Right from the beginning they were very clear about the cost of the services which was very important for me to know upfront or to have a rough estimate! Besides this they explained to me in details my dental condition! I have to admit that none of the dentists I visited previously mentioned nothing of these and I have been questioning for years some symptoms that finally I got answers! I got a detailed consultation, treatment plan, procedure and costs! Besides the professional part they are friendly and very attentive! If you need a dentist don't think twice!

I had a great experience with Dr. Katie! She did an amazing job filling my tooth — quick, gentle, and very professional. She explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My tooth feels perfect now. Highly recommend her
