I had a really good experience with the team at Budget Brake & Muffler. I brought my car in earlier today because of a brake fluid leak and was honestly hoping it could be done the same day. I knew they were busy and it was getting late, so I was a bit worried about timing. Then I got the nicest surprise. Al (Alvin S.) and technician Ken L. stayed after hours and called me at 8:30 pm, well after closing, to let me know my car was ready. That kind of effort means a lot. They fixed everything needed and really took care of me. Thank you Alvin and Ken for going the extra mile. Truly grateful and happy to recommend them.

Terrible service Had a window repair service diagnosis the other day and we were expecting a short one and a half hour inspection. My vehicle was there for over 4 hours and not a single call back was made from the autoshop. I called them to get updates on my vehicle and the representative kept saying they need an hour and a half and they will contact me back afterwards. I didn’t receive any calls and I had no idea when my vehicle was going to be finished. I tried to call them but all I get was an impatient comment when it was their duty to keep me updated as they said they would. They should change their name to budget brake and liars since they are irresponsible with time management and do not respect customer time. I can not recommend this place.

Terrible service and possible scam This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a repair shop. Huge waste of time and extremely unprofessional. I brought my car in at 9:00 AM because my power window was not working. I was told there was only one car ahead of me and that it would take about 1.5 hours to check. My boyfriend and I went next door to eat and waited. After 1.5 hours, we received no call at all. We had to call them ourselves, and then they changed their story and said it wouldn’t be ready until noon. We took a taxi home and waited. At noon, still no call. When I called again to ask for an update (the 12:58 PM call), the staff member was extremely rude and even yelled at me, saying: “How many times are you going to call me?” I was simply asking about the status of my car. They said it still wasn’t checked yet. I clearly told them my time was very limited and that I had already been waiting for hours. All I got was a repeated and vague “we’ll do our best.” Another 1.5 hours passed, still no call. When I called again, they suddenly told me that both the motor and the wiring were broken and that it would cost $1,600. No prior approval No phone call before quoting the price No written estimate No receipt They just demanded $1,600. I refused the repair. Then they said reinstalling the parts would take another 1.5 hours. I waited until 2:30 PM, and once again, no one called me. I had to call yet again just to get my car back. The most important part: I later took my car to another repair shop. They confirmed that only the motor was broken and that the wiring was perfectly fine. The total repair cost there was $500–$600. This shop tried to charge me $1,600 for something that didn’t even need to be fixed. That price difference is outrageous and feels like a clear attempt to overcharge or scam customers.

This Budget Brake and muffler place is amazing thorough, timely and fair pricing. Love Alvin who is the most efficient and honest person-great mechanic too-runs the shop smoothly-good for his word and always ready for you : ))

I had a great experience here! I came in to get my brakes and cabin filter replaced, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and explained everything clearly. The cost was very reasonable for the quality of work, and they finished everything right on time very efficient and organized. I really appreciated how smooth and stress-free the whole process was. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality service at a fair price!
