We had a great experience here. Our German Shepherd had a split claw and she can be a nervous dog. The staff were friendly and accommodating and we were really happy with the service. The clinic is clean and charming. So happy we have such a good clinic on Bowen.

Dr Ritchie and her staff are fantastic. We brought our cat Boo Bear in due to a bald spot on his shoulder he had been licking raw. When our kitty started getting frustrated and hissy(sorry!) during their checks they immediately backed off and suggested treatment without traumatizing him more with bloodwork or taking samples. Dr Ritchie assured us if we felt we need to come back before our next check up to do so but she was confident with her diagnoses and so are we. So fortunate to have such a kind and caring team on island!

So grateful to our wonderful vet for seeing us on an urgent basis and taking such good care of our dog. I appreciated so much about this visit - the immediacy of it, the thorough examination and explanation, the plan for follow up. I feel very confident about the quality of care. So I was more than apprehensive after reading the poor reviews on this vet. But because this vet's in my neighbourhood, I did some in person research and discovered many happy clients. Dr. Allistair's bedside manner with humans is agreeably not stellar, but his talent with animals is A+. I understand his skill with surgery is even better. Plus, Dr. Shona's friendly, personable, and generous way more than makes up for this. Also, Dr. Shona gave us extra time to discuss medical insurance and training. The reception is super welcoming and our puppy, on his second visit, was eager to go back! So far, I'm thrilled with the care this vet provides. Our puppy "Coconut" gives 2 paws up. ;-)
