I have been going to this gym for two years and it’s great. The environment is friendly and the equipment is good. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

I recently enrolled at Bolt Fitness with high expectations; however, my experience has been underwhelming. While the overall gym atmosphere is acceptable, the condition of the washroom facilities was notably substandard and appeared inadequately maintained. As someone who values hygiene and professionalism, I found the lack of cleanliness deeply concerning. I had intended to use the shower facilities post-workout, but the environment did not meet a standard that would make that possible. I sincerely hope management addresses these concerns promptly, as facility upkeep and sanitation are fundamental to delivering a quality fitness experience and justifying membership costs.

This Monday, morning time, while I was working out at the gym, a maintenance staff member was using a vacuum machine and accidentally touched my leg with it, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I politely asked him not to use the vacuum during workout time. Instead of understanding my concern, he spoke to me rudely and misbehaved. He responded in an aggressive tone and said, “I am just doing my job,” without apologizing. His behavior was disrespectful, unprofessional, and made me feel unsafe and embarrassed. He showed no concern for personal space or customer comfort, which is unacceptable in a gym environment.

I had a really unpleasant experience at this gym. The washrooms were consistently dirty, and the floors throughout the facility felt grimy and poorly maintained. For a place that promotes health and fitness, the lack of cleanliness is honestly shocking. It made the entire workout environment feel uncomfortable and unsanitary. Definitely expected better and won’t be returning until things improve. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Poorly Maintained Thank goodness for the three-day free trial, because I would have been completely disappointed if I had committed to a membership at this gym, especially considering the exorbitant costs: - Membership Fee: $69.98 + GST (monthly) - Enrollment Fee: $100.00 (one-time) - Annual Member Fee: $40.00 + GST For these prices, I expected a well-maintained facility with solid staff support, but unfortunately, that was not my experience. Lack of Staff Oversight On my first workout, I immediately noticed a lack of enforcement when it came to gym rules and safety. A man was working out in jeans and barefoot, which poses obvious hygiene and safety risks. Despite this being a clear violation of standard gym policies, he continued bouncing around the facility without any staff intervention. This was on a Sunday at 5:30 PM, and I saw no staff presence addressing the issue. Basic Equipment – Not Worth the Price The gym equipment is functional but basic. Nothing high-tech or state-of-the-art, which is disappointing considering the premium pricing. While everything seemed in working order, there’s nothing here that justifies the cost compared to other gyms in the area that offer more for less. Unhygienic Showers and Pool Area This is where the gym truly falls apart. The men’s showers are absolutely disgusting. I don’t know how often they are cleaned, but the overwhelming smell of mold and musk makes it clear that sanitation is not a priority. Rust, grime, and unidentified buildup coat the stalls, making them practically unusable (see photos for reference). The pool area is equally neglected. Peeling paint covers nearly every inch of the facility, and there appears to be algae or mold growing along the walls. It’s alarming that this has been allowed to get to this state. Restricted Pool and Hot Tub Access To make matters worse, members don’t even get proper access to the pool or hot tub during peak hours. From what I was told, these facilities are unavailable from 3 PM to 8 PM on weekdays because of children's swimming lessons. This means that if you work during the day and want to unwind in the evening, you won’t even be able to use these amenities. Squash Courts – Taped Up and Unusable Another disappointment—there are squash courts, but they are taped off and no longer operational. This is misleading since they are still advertised as part of the facility. Final Thoughts I really wanted to like this place. It’s a unique gym with amenities that could have been great if managed properly. However, at the prices they charge, members deserve better. The lack of access to key facilities, poor maintenance, and lack of staff oversight make it not worth the money. If you’re considering joining, I highly recommend using the free trial first and deciding if the experience justifies the cost—because for me, it absolutely did not. ⭐ Rating: 1/5 – Would not recommend unless major improvements are made.
