I had a wonderful experience at Blooming dental today. I came all the way from White rock and it was worth every mile Dr. YUN was marvellous and so was Chloe his Lovely assistant Maria and Joanna at the front were so gracious and welcoming I highly recommend.

Great dentist and hygienist. I was recommended to this place by a family member after I had a bad experience at another practice. I've been for three different visits now and everything has gone well. My hygienist is very responsive to sensitive areas and my dentist is great at addressing all of my potential problem areas. They also give their patients free Rocky Point Ice Cream every summer!

I’ve been a patient at Blooming Dental for almost two years, but my most recent visit was extremely disappointing and very different from my past experiences. When I walked in, no one greeted me. I said hello and gave my name, then sat in the waiting area. While I was sitting there, I received a phone call saying I was late for my appointment. I stood up and said hello again. If the receptionist had simply looked into the waiting area, she would have seen me sitting there the whole time, so the call was unnecessary and frustrating. I went in with pain on the right side of my mouth and explained this clearly to the dentist. She said she couldn’t see anything and offered no advice, explanation, or guidance on what to watch for or how we could figure out what was causing the pain. In the past, I’ve always been given some direction, so this felt dismissive. During the filling procedure on two teeth, the dentist stopped and said she suddenly noticed another cavity and asked if I wanted to fill it as well. This was concerning to me — it felt like something that should have been identified beforehand, not mid-procedure. The entire appointment felt rushed. The numbing needle was administered and drilling started almost immediately, without waiting for the anesthetic to fully take effect. I felt intense pain when the drill hit a nerve and instinctively moved. Instead of showing understanding, I was told, “Don’t move, just raise your hand.” It’s unrealistic to expect someone not to react when they’re in sudden pain. Overall, the staff felt rude and inattentive, and I was very uncomfortable throughout the visit. Proper greeting, listening to patient concerns, ensuring full numbing before starting, and checking in on patient comfort should be basic standards of care. Unfortunately, this visit fell short in all of those areas. I won’t be returning. There are other dental offices that take the time to treat patients with care, respect, and clear communication.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Kim (who is amazing) and his staff. For those of us that are fearful of dental appointments I highly recommend Blooming Dental. They put you at ease from day one and are always kind, compassionate sand caring. I will never go anywhere else. Huge shout out to the office manager Karen who treats every patient as if they are family and my two favourite CDA's Min and Chloe who are always friendly, welcoming, extremely professional and highly skilled.
