*****!!!IF YOU NEED RELIABLE, HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY AUTO REPAIRS, BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE TO BIG AL’S AUTO REPAIR!!!***** If you don’t know anything about auto repairs and are scared of getting ripped off, this is the place for you. They don’t pray on the mis informed, they empower them and ensure the job is done right and does not/will not overcharge. Stand up owner and staff here at Big Al’s. What can I honestly say about Shawn and his staff at Big Al’s? Nothing short of AMAZING. I had a very unique situation. Long story short my motor needed to be replaced. With a crate engine option not available as they were on back order. Shawn made some calls and took a-lot of time to find me a reliable, perfectly rebuilt motor with warranty. Shawn was adamant to ensure I was satisfied and informed me and communicated with me every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Honest, kind, trustworthy and isn’t out to gouge customers or use cheap aftermarket parts and charge premium prices (they don’t use cheap aftermarket parts anyways). It was a testing and trying situation for all involved but Shawn even removed some of the work that was done off the bill which I said wasn’t necessary as it wasn’t the techs fault or his, it was just the situation. He insisted it was the right thing to do and removed some of the labour and parts off my bill. Stand up guy. Standup techs that do a bang up job. I won’t ever hesitate taking my family vehicles here ever nor hesitate to give Big Al’s a GLOWING review. You all deserve it. Thank you for providing 5 star service to me ensuring I have a reliable family vehicle again. An honest business that has helped us well with our vehicle. Despite the problems with our vehicle, they put in a lot of effort to fix and troubleshoot the issues, provided us with sufficient information on what went wrong, and were honest about their findings and the work they had done. The workers and owner are very helpful and kind, and I recommend Big Al’s to others.

Shawn and his team have been incredible to work with. While I’ve unfortunately needed to bring my vehicle in multiple times, each visit has been a great experience. The staff is friendly, approachable, and very knowledgeable in finding the right solution. I wouldn’t trust my vehicles with anyone else.

Back in May my vehicle’s engine light came on. My mechanic had retired, so I did my homework in search for a new one. I settled on Big Al’s based on their stellar reputation. They diagnosed the issue as major oil leaks. I must say I did wince at the $3,000.00 + cost for repairs, but they assured me they guaranteed their work, and encouraged me to come back if the problem persisted. Well, about a month or so ago, it was brought to my attention, my vehicle was still leaking oil from somewhere, not as bad, but never the less leaking. Without hesitation, I returned to Big Al’s to find out the cause. They told me that the leak was due to the oil pan not being sealed properly and was unrelated to the work done in May. They estimated an additional $500.00 to repair. I was not impressed nor convinced the two things were unrelated. When I questioned it, I was told the owner was away for a week, and could not be reached until the following Monday. I decided not to have my vehicle repaired at that time, instead I wrote a letter to the owner stating my position. I was totally expecting to either be ignored or brushed off. Well, I received a very prompt and positive response from the owner upon his return. He suggested that I bring it back to them so he could take a look at it. I did take it back, and to my complete amazement, they took responsibility for missing the problem, back in May. I was shown graphics explaining how this occurred. He then booked an appointment time to repair the issue free of charge, which was earlier this week.. When I was on my way to pick up my vehicle, I thought to myself, I bet they find another problem, unrelated and suggest I have that repaired. I was partially right, they did find a problem, that was clearly unrelated to the oil leaks, fixed it and did not charge me. Plus, they covered the charge of an oil change. Now, I am impressed! I have erased my vow, “never to go back to Big Al’s “ and have replaced it with “ I will always go back to Big Al’s! Thanks, Big Al’s – I will definitely be back! Thanks so much for everything!
