I needed a new furnace during winter, Feb 2026. My 40 yr old Lennox suddenly failed, but a call to Battle River had a service call within 2 hours. It was confirmed that a replacement was needed, BUT because my house was built on a crawl-space, and the furnace was a floor-mounted down-draft in a small closet space, there would be some wrinkles. It would require a 1/4 turn to fit a new furnace within the space, access to the furnace would have to be from the side, an adapter would have to be built to raise the furnace 12" from the floor. The metal adapter would require some sound-proofing, and would adapt to the existing ductwork below the floor. Turning the furnace meant that the water heater also needed to be moved because the space was too tight. Decided to replace it with a tankless unit that could be mounted high enough to allow furnace access. I had a quote the next morning with several options. The order was placed and install started the following Monday morning. The options chosen included a return pump on the the tankless WH [to keep hot water available on demand at the taps] AND a Lennox furnace with a Variable speed motor. I was very pleased with the outcome. [

I have had to use Battle River Plumbing and Heating a few times now. Once for shower cartridges and the second for a furnace issue. Scott was great to deal with. The technician was great to deal with and very knowledgeable. Once I received the invoices for both I was surprised on the cost being lower than I suspected. I called them a year ago to help with an underfunctioning furnace. They did everything they could to repair the unit and avoid replacing it (thanks Brian!). Ultimately, I had to replace the furnace. They gave me multiple options to choose from, made themselves available to answer my questions, and were quick and efficient with everything from start to finish. Recently, I called them again to repair a malfunctioning hot water on demand unit. They were at my house within an hour of my call and had it repaired very quickly (thanks again Brian!). Prices are reasonable, service is impeccable. 100% recommend.

A couple of weeks ago, on the coldest day of the season so far, the furnace stopped working. I quickly searched for local companies hoping someone could come out right away. The first place I called said they were booked for three days, or I could pay extra for after-hours service 7–10 hours later. When I called Battle River Plumbing and Heating, Scott answered and immediately said, “A house with no heat in this cold just moved to the top of our priority list.” He was at the house within 30 minutes. Scott took the time to fix the issue properly and ordered parts to help prevent it from happening again. Because of the great service, I also hired them to replace the hot water tank, which was on its last legs. Extremely friendly, professional, and kind service. I would highly recommend this family-run business.
