Except for the hyrox ("hybrid rockstars" if you didn't know) people flying around the gym and occupying multiple machines and floor space at the same time, it's a pretty great gym. Staff I've always found lovely, and the facilities overall are very good. It gets busy at times, but never to the point I can't find something for the muscle group I'm working. Generally a great vibe.

I’m in the second round of the founding member and joined 6mo before it opened. Was great before and it was understandable back then that it’s a new place and we needed to be patient. Fast forward few years, it’s still poorly managed. I’ve also had to point out that the girls bathroom stalls need trash bins bc there were sanitary products left on top of the toilet papers dispensers, showers were ice cold, and now it’s overflowing with people and the toilets are trashed with paper all over the floor. If you’re inviting more people to come in, you will also have to increase the frequency of cleaning. Thats a minimum facility management requirement. There’s also now chalk on the equipment, weights are everywhere and not put back bc some people are uncivilized. And yes, it is you who should be vetting the members of this so called “luxury” zoo. I meant gym. But with no machines available at core times / sanitary issues it’s no different than a zoo now. I don’t know what the wait list is for when there’s clearly WAY TOO MANY members since beginning of this year.

There’s a lot to love about this gym. The facility is modern, well maintained, and consistently clean. The classes have been excellent. The instructors are knowledgeable, motivating, and create an energetic vibe while paying attention to form. After being a member for about two years, it’s become my happy place and something I’ve recommended to friends. That said, it’s gotten extremely busy lately, and it’s starting to take away from the experience. Classes are regularly full days in advance, even at times that used to be easy to book. When you can’t get into the classes you want, it defeats the point of paying for a gym. On top of that, parking and the locker rooms have become surprising busy but I have never not found a spot despite being difficult at times. I still really like this place and want to keep being a member, but the current crowding is a real issue if you can’t plan your workouts a week in advance. Perhaps the gym could add more class sessions where possible? Forget about finding success with the waitlist system unless you are glued to your email, any opened up space is booked in minutes.

I’ve been here for about 7 months now. I regularly take classes and use the gym equipment. The gym equipment is really nice. More smith machines would be awesome, it’s hard to secure one. The classes are pretty great, really great instructors. The new classes are a bit weird, the different levels can be frustrating for me. I don’t want to take a level 1 class and sometimes that’s all they offer during the time i can go. I miss when everything was one level and you were able to modify based on your fitness level. The new Pilates power class is NOT Pilates, i don’t know why they would call it that. Call it a heated HIIT/strength class if that’s what it is. I find some of their level 2 Pilates flow classes to be far too easy. I showed up to the Pilates sweat classes to work hard and some of the level 2 classes don’t offer that. Kristina and Davi have a wonderful level 2 class where modifications are offered and thoroughly explained but it’s a very challenging class if you want to make it challenging. All the level 2 classes should live up to that standard. I wish they offered 6am pilates/yoga or even 530. They sold so many memberships over the last 3 months, it’s not even the same gym that it was in September.. but i get it, they have to make money. The saunas are nice, there’s not enough lockers for all the memberships they sold though. The 15 dollar cancellation fee is ridiculous.. you should have strikes, not right to 15 dollars.

Joining Altea has honestly been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and happiness. I was hesitant at first about committing to a 12-month membership, but it’s turned out to be the best investment, Altea has truly become my happy place. I love that I can access so many different classes all in one place, from hot yoga to barre, and ending with the sauna after class always feels like such a treat. I go almost every day, either before or after work, and it’s become such a grounding part of my routine. All the instructors at Altea are incredibly kind, hardworking, and genuinely put effort into creating a great experience for everyone. A shout-out to Proshat Fardesmaili, one of my yoga instructors. She’s so attentive, caring, and always stays after class to greet everyone and check in on how we enjoyed the session. Her energy makes every class feel personal and uplifting. If you take one of her classes, you’ll know exactly what I mean. Thank you, Altea, for creating such a warm and motivating space, I couldn’t imagine my weeks without it ☺️
