If you're looking for a warm space that's actively and directly supportive of LGBTQ+ folks, ABSOLUTELY go here. Amanda isn't just knowledgeable in her profession, she's one of the most enthusiastically kind and friendly people I've ever met. I'm very happy with my results of just two laser hair removal sessions so far. But beyond that, I'm even happier to have started my journey specifically with Amanda. She's taken the time to explain absolutely everything, made personalised recommendations, but also put the time in to personally know and care about her clients. It's clear that she cares. I'd give 6 stars if I could. Seriously. I cannot recommend Almost Famous Laser enough.

I've gone to Amanda 3 times now to get IPL facial treatment for my Rosacea, and my experience has always been great. Amanda has a wonderful disposition; she's friendly, warm and easy to talk to. She also offers great rates, booking in with her is easy, and the wait generally isn't too long!

So Happy now that Nanaimo has a professional laser clinic. Amanda is a knowledgable technician - so efficent and so charming. She lets you know all about the treatment and her prices are extremely fair. She has an excellent booking system and also sends reminders of your upcoming treatment. Her salon is a colourful gem of brightness in the center of town. I have never had a problem parking right in front of her salon and she has always been punctual. Great Pampering.

Amanda at Almost Famous Laser is absolutely amazing. She is professional, warm, and makes you feel completely comfortable right away — and her lasers are even more impressive. I honestly felt like about 80% of my bikini hair was gone after just the first visit (I know results vary by hair type, but WOW). I was blown away. On top of the results, the pricing is so affordable — which I am beyond grateful for because life is expensive enough as it is. I’ll absolutely be returning for multiple treatments for years to come. Not just for hair removal, but likely tattoo removal and honestly anything else you can point a laser at. Highly, highly recommend Amanda and Almost Famous Laser.
