Was a regular patient of this facility and always have thought highly of the hygienists and Dr.Johal. Until… my son complained of a loose tooth and minor pain so we made an appointment to check it out. Note: previous exam was November 2025, nothing noted on the file. Exam booked mid January 2026. Less than 3 months between exams. The staff borderline accuse me of being abusive to my son because they could just not understand how a tooth became loose on its own without some type of trauma involved. I’m old school but I don’t beat my kid. Staff placed a referral to an orthodontist to advise further on the issue. Dr Johal literally threw his hands up and said he would not work on my son without further consult. Some time had passed and I had not heard anything from our dentist or the referral clinic so I stop by on my way home. I ask the coordinator at the desk for a copy of the referral and the notes so I can bring them to another orthodontist for a second opinion. The coordinator first refused, then said she had to ask, then she disappeared for 10min. In the meantime, doc was working on a patient in the room next to the desk and I overheard his snarky and rude comments including “why does she want another consult?” I informed him that I could hear his voice and that I was well within my rights to seek a second consult. He argued with me despite the fact he had a patient in his chair that should have been his focus. The coordinator returned and handed me a copy of the referral form, which very clearly had the date changed, and my contact information was incorrect… I exited the facility and promptly called the referral clinic and asked if they had a copy of my form. The clinic confirmed they had not received one yet. So, to summarize: Doctor was rude, staff are incompetent and the referral clinic wants 7k for braces. The clinic I got a second opinion at says my son doesn’t need braces. I’ll let you decide who the real crook is. UPDATE: This clinic reached out to me to discuss my issue further. Even attempted to schedule a call for Wednesday/Thursday and I heard nothing back. I guess they do not care as much as they pretend to show they care.

I visited for a crown procedure and am thrilled with the results; my teeth look better than ever. They were also very accommodating when I had to bring my three-year-old son. Specifically, the receptionist, Nichole, was wonderful and kept him entertained throughout my appointment.

I picked this office due to the holistic care they are founded on. Our hygienist Joanne was so unbelievably incredible. It was my first time bringing my 2 year old daughter and she was beyond wonderful with her helping to introduce her to the whole process. They gave her a super cute take away gift which was above and beyond. She even felt so comfortable she let the dentist look in her mouth which I didn’t think would happen! The dentist seemed knowledgeable and I like his conservative approach and reassurance. His bedside manner wasn’t the greatest (didn’t even introduce himself at all) but all in all Joanne and the girls made it a fantastic experience.

I had an excellent experience at Airdrie Family Dentist and honestly couldn’t be more grateful. I came in with significant dental pain and they were able to fit me in the same day. From the moment I arrived, everyone was kind, calm, and genuinely attentive — from the front desk to the dental assistants and the dentist. Dr. Johal took the time to clearly explain the problem, walk me through the possible options, and answer my questions without rushing or pressuring me. Everything felt transparent and respectful. His assistant, Shradha, was also incredibly caring and professional, which made the whole experience much more comfortable, especially given the situation. What really stood out to me was how human the care felt. I never felt like “just another patient” or that decisions were being pushed for financial reasons. They focused on solving the problem, managing the pain, and making sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the process. If you’re dealing with dental pain or looking for a clinic that treats you with respect, clarity, and compassion, I would absolutely recommend Airdrie Family Dentist.

I was very nervous and worried about going to the dentist, as it is not my cup of tea.That being said, top marks to Radha on reception who displayed professionalism. Also first class service from Joanne (hygienist) who did a bloody brilliant job cleaning my teeth. Joanne was easy going made me calm and relaxed. Based on my first experience I will definitely be returning to this dental office. Excellent team !!!
