I’m honestly shocked by the pricing for grad photos and the fact that you still have to pay a separate sitting fee on top of it. I knew there would be a sitting fee, but having that and such expensive packages feels unreasonable, especially for university students. Since my college promoted this company for grad photos, I expected a student discount or at least more accessible pricing. They are clearly getting a lot of business through the school, yet the bundles are still extremely overpriced. I assumed the most expensive print package would be around $150, but you cannot even get digital copies of three photos for that amount. My entire appointment was 30 minutes at most, so I do not understand how this pricing is justified. I did end up paying for my photos and a package that includes the digital downloads, but it has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I will be telling others to skip this service and instead book a mini shoot with a private photographer, since the cost would be about the same as what I paid for the sitting fee, digital photos, and prints here.

Louise and her team are incredibly talented people. With over 40 years of experience, I didn’t have to worry about anything. Louise was very fussy about how I was posed and made the photos the best they could be. Out of all the photographers I’ve ever had take my picture, she has by far been the best. I would strongly recommend this business and would definitely come back.

This lovely team did my university grad photos and I would have never expected such a wonderful experience! I was nervous about these photos but they made me feel so welcome. They guided me through each pose which built my confidence with every shot. They take incredible attention to detail head to toe! And a bonus is they let me take photos with my furry best friend! My dog Duke had a blast posing for treats! 100% recommend if you need any important milestone photos taken!

I was astonished to see how good my grad pics came out this year. I’m not a photogenic person as I naturally have resting b face but the older lady photographer proved she has mad skill and talent as my pictures not only look really good, but they actually look like me! She fussed with my hair and got the right angles and expressions so the pictures turned out. With me, that’s hard to pull off. They look quite pretty and professional. Well done to the lady who took the pictures !

The person at the front desk is the kindest, most patient person ever. We had many interactions with her and she maintains her pleasant, helpful self each and every time. In addition to this, one of the photo developers, Jordan, went out of his way to call me and ask me if I wanted to come to the studio and check to see if I liked a picture he printed of my daughter because we were concerned about her hair colour. Speaking with him was also a complete joy and I was very satisfied with the hair colour and the quality of the entire picture. I feel confident that the staff at Academy Studios knows their work very well and tries hard to give the people excellent results that they love!!
